..well they could each take half of it..it may be just enough to see them through if they did get rescued..it's worth a shot..and if not they would both die together..

Because it's unfair otherwise. Why should one person's life take preference over another?

People could come up with all sorts of different reasons as to why their life would matter more, but at the end of the day as human beings we're all equal and I don't really think it'd be fair to essentially value one person's over another.

That's true enough, but they should atleast share the medication on the off chance they get rescued in the meantime

..I agree but it would be stupid not to use the medicine..they may as well share it and see what happens...they have nothing to lose

I agree but I think that if there is at least the chance of saving one life then that is preferable to losing two.

But if it can be shared and preserve them both for a little while then that's the best option I suppose

Jack_ 26-04-2012 04:19 PM

Oh well yeah, I agree that the medicine could be shared. May as well :p

Ammi 26-04-2012 04:21 PM

..they may get rescued in the nick of time and all will be well

MTVN 26-04-2012 04:21 PM

I think it makes a better dilemma if the sharing isn't an option though, bit of a cop out answer :idc:

Ammi 26-04-2012 04:25 PM

..well you don't have to share MTVN..it's just one option
..you keep it all for yourself..but then you may starve anyway
..would you eat your friend?

If you remove people from your friendship list at the drop of a hat then I think it's you who people should have concerns about :idc:

Mystic Mock 27-04-2012 03:53 AM

It depends if we was really good friends, if not then I would allow them to die and take it for myself as I don't want to die like that lol.

You and your friend are stranded on an island. Unfortunately, you are both fatally ill. It just so happens that you have an antibiotic that can cure your illness. Sadly enough, there is just enough antibiotic to save only one person. How could you and your friend choose which one of you will take the antibiotic? Do you think that either person who takes it will, or should, feel guilty for the other person dying, although if neither of you take it, you will both die?

I'd die x

Livia 27-04-2012 10:48 AM

I would give away the antibiotic. I have no wish to extend what is essentially a short life, full of pain.

Happy Friday everyone!

I don't know whether to be slightly flattered or to go and crouch under a running shower with my fists clenched over my eyes.
