Doogle 13-05-2012 11:41 AM

I lurked here in 2010 reading BB11 threads one night near the end of 2010 but forgot about it until I went on DS and read BB was returning, and I googled something to do with BB and Patrick's post came up about how excited he was, so I joined as a faily little mess and got caught up in the non-BB stuff and stayed.

lostalex 13-05-2012 11:43 AM

I joined cause i'm a BB fan, but i stayed for the lulz.

Jarrod 13-05-2012 11:49 AM

I found the forum through Google while looking for BB news haha. I just joined to see what it was like. And this was my first forum i joined.

Josy 13-05-2012 11:53 AM

To discuss BB after viewing as a guest for a while, but I left after it was finished then came back the next season.

LemonJam 13-05-2012 12:02 PM

to say how much i loved kathreya COOKIE LOVE!!!

That's genuinely the serious answer.

Black Dagger 13-05-2012 12:06 PM

I can't even remember why I joined BB had finished and I knew that some-day it'd be back, but there was nothing to really discuss in January of last year, then I went away and I came back to discuss CBB8 and BB12 and then I've stayed ever since for the 'BANTA'

To be honest before BB11 I'd only seen one other full series but thought I'd give this one a try and got quite into it but literally none of my friends liked BB so this was the only place I could discuss it. Just googled Big Brother forums, tried to sign up to DS, failed, so I tried this place instead. I remember Claymores was the first person I spoke to on here and he said I should stick around for off season so I did and gradually started coming on more and more

The reason I did join initially was because only one of my friends watched Big Brother and I was dying to be discussing it all the time (so I suppose I was lacking r/l Big Brother fans)

I chose to stay around afterwards because TiBB was my first forum and I found it addictive. There was nothing missing from my life but as a parent, I was in alot anyway

Great to see that I raise threads that inevitably bring about inspiration even via the replies.

Depsite you initially saying that there was nothing lacking in your life: then admitted their was as far as indepth discussion of Big Brother shows: I joined because it was recommended to me.

I stayed predominately through people like InOne who thought it was smart to welcome me by mouthing off and being very unpleasant... (yes, you all have Joe to thank for that). So that sort of set the scene and it has continued since I joined !!! :D

One of the main reasons I stuck around was because Tibb has that uniqueness to it: another was simply I didn't like seeing some of those that I regarded as friend: being unbelievably horrible about another fm and how that Fm looked in real life when they posted a photo up.

To me, that went beyond what was acceptable - it's okay not liking someone for their online persona and because of who they may or may not support in BB - : but when it comes to low blows about how a personal physically looks in real life: well...that to me was when I realised how shallow some people (that I regarded highly) actually can be.

Tibb has it's plus points. It also has it's minus pionts. Like everything else in life I guess.

Lmao, I think I did like her at the start, but after a week or so of "HAPPY HOW! HAPPY HOW! YAY! HAPPY HOW!" I kinda went off her xD

Kazanne 13-05-2012 12:46 PM

I initially joined to comment on BB,but found some lovely people on here who I had something in common with,I dont usually stick around after BB but have done more so this time round,i find some threads really silly and pointless but other threads great for debating subjects that catch my eye.TIBB has sometimes made me belly laugh and other times annoyed me,but I quite like a daily visit.

bbfan1991 13-05-2012 12:46 PM

I joined after initally lurking to discuss Big Brother and chat about other things, whilst having off topic fun too and have not looked back since:).

bbfan1991 13-05-2012 12:47 PM

Does anyone prefer the BB off season now? I do as i've kind of lost quite a bit of BB enthusiasm and it is fun on here too with the games etc, but will still tune in to see if I can get it back...

MTVN 13-05-2012 12:51 PM

It's a bit of a weird situation on here really, how on a Big Brother forum a lot of the most active posters don't actually watch Big Brother lol, I still prefer on season though

Me...I thought I was a fan, and then some come on screwing about the doors or the decor in the bedroom and you think oooookkkkkkk :joker:

Josy 13-05-2012 12:52 PM

I prefer on season, it gets irritating sometimes but I still prefer it when the forum is buzzing with activity.

Claymores was also one of the people who told me to stick around both for 'on' season and 'off...... it's very ironic that one poster who managed to persuade several others to stay on Tibb..... has been banned for so long.

Bizarre in a way.

Josy 13-05-2012 12:55 PM

There was good reason for his ban though, but that is Claymores business and it shouldnt be discussed on the main forum.

bbfan1991 13-05-2012 12:57 PM

If a housemate came on this forum they would be sure to get a mostly better reception here than on DS whether you like them or not;)/

I was meaning more from the amusing side that he got more people to stick around ......I agree with you btw, I wasn't discussing it or rather, it was not meant as a point of discussion, .... I was merely mentioning it Josy, just as others have done elsewhere in the forum on other threads of late.

I apologise. I'm happy for you to delete my comment if you feel it is inappropriate.

I was actually complimenting one member who persuaded others, such as MTVN and myself to stick around... :spin:
