Yes I'm fairly sure that I have heard someone else before outside the house say that they thought China was in Japan.
So the same mistake. There really are people out there that are that thick.
It's not just poor education it's also because IMHO some people are born with brains that somehow are more able to work through a problem towards a solution.
So they can work out an answer, not just quote facts and figures which happens with most exam passes up to post A level.
It's only when you get to having to pass degrees and then MSc s etc that exams are any sort of evidence for intelligence. You can usually tell that by how someone talks to you.
So it's not just poor education at secondary level education which is where most of these housemates will have got to and it's not just because of nurturing either IE parenting.
Because most people think intelligence and behaviour is all based on a combination of education, society around them and how their parents were around them. It's also in my opinion because some people are naturally born with brains that work better than others.
There is no doubt that a lot of people in real life are thick, I mean just look how often they say exactly the same things as a paper is saying to them and look how they vote.
They are so easily led by papers and tv stations.I'm fairly sure I've heard another person say the China in Japan thing and I'm fairly sure I've heard even stupider things said by others.
Sorry if I've upset anyone with what I've said and take care.
