None-smoker so no. Especially if some of them are personal belongings. Not trying to look good, just don't want to do it.

That's what I was wondering. Originally, everyone brought some in, everyone but Lauren ran out, Lauren was pressured into sharing whether she wanted to or not. By the time this task happened, did she still have any of the ones she brought in with her? I noticed her saying at one point that they can't get the kind she brought through the shopping list. If that was a mix of cigarettes provided through BB and someone's personal belongings, then no, that's not a fair penalty.

As an ex-smoker I couldn't imagine a worse thing to do really for the smokers. I can totally understand Lauren's reaction.

I think it is harder in a way because it was sprung on them suddenly without them having time to prepare for it, and the cravings at that point could be really high. In fact out of all the tasks that they are ever given this two or three days without cigarettes could quite possibly be the hardest test that any housemate has ever had to face.

When I gave up smoking about five years ago I came of from smoking about 40 a day down to 20 a day in the preceding year as a first step and when I finally gave up I took a week of work to do it and I went through intense withdrawal shivers and my whole system sweated out for over a week... it was like going through an intense fever.

Living with those, yes I would. If I was living with housemates I liked I wouldn't

Marcus. 28-06-2012 05:20 PM

no i would not

Munchkins 28-06-2012 05:36 PM

Even though i do not smoke, i just don't think i could cut up the cigarettes, i'd feel too cruel ://

Kizzy 28-06-2012 06:06 PM

I have officially made it 50/50 with 30 members saying yes and 30 no. I said I would but then i'm a non smoker...

Joe. 28-06-2012 06:09 PM

If I didn't smoke then I would but i'm a smoker and can feel their pain!

Definately, Arron made totally the right choice,it was a good 20 points for the shopping task budget, had he not done so, he would now be being pilloried for not having the courage to cut them up and trying go for popularity with the other housemates instead.
Especially as they would have then failed the shopping task too by likely those 20 points.

I agree, he did appear to be in a damned if you do damned if you don't situation on the surface of things.

karezza 29-06-2012 12:49 PM

I would cut them up and I wouldn't put them on the Shopping List.

now give to lauren to do or another smoker thats a dilemma

yea i thought the task was somewhat biased and i thought it was obvious Arron would do it. it would of been more entertaining to have a smoker do it and sweat.

Julseyone 29-06-2012 05:27 PM

omg...they would have failed the task if he handnt cut them up !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

rayheartbliss 29-06-2012 05:29 PM

if it was ashleigh's money yes i'd have cut them all and thrown it all over her face.

Josielover 29-06-2012 05:48 PM

I hate smoking so I'd have cut them up for sure. I'd have done it for less points too tbh, I think Arron did the right thing.

Loukas 29-06-2012 05:49 PM

no, i'm a smoker so i feel their pain
