Kayla was all over Gemma in the final, great job with silver!

Never watched this before but got into it as they were showing Gemma's progress on the BBC1 coverage this afternoon, so I followed her group match, quarter-final, semi-final and then final. When she did that move (whatever's it called, the one that got her like 100 points) in the semi-final and she said 'I love you mum' I literally jumped up and cheered as seemingly a lot of the country and arena did...great moment.

Seems a lovely girl as well.

Ippon I think is the 100 pointer, wazari is 10 and yuko is 1.

Kayla is awesome, a true inspiration!! Congrats Kayla!

Do you know when she's competing Novo? Might have to check her out, I was really into it when Gemma was on, the cheer I made when she made the final.

I think that is what makes it so much more special.

I mean, it's always nice to see us get our medals... but for me, I got more excited seeing Gemma in the Judo yesterday, and Peter winning at the shooting, whereas with Cycling I fully expect us to get some medals, same as I expect Rebecca to get her medal later tonight. Still special to see us do well and for those saying that we were doing terrible will have to be feeling pretty silly now, considering we're 4th and could be 3rd only behind countries we fully expect not to beat.
