Becky's sister made herself look like a complete twit with that comment - stupidity obviously runs in the family.

Marc 01-08-2012 10:38 AM

Becky's sister is just retarded to think Deana was trying to be THAT serious with the solider thing. Must follow in the family

joeysteele 01-08-2012 10:42 AM

I have to admit I am a bit sick of the Soldiers thing with Deana and I think even Adam and Luke A are just going along with it rather than really liking it.

I am also fed up of her praying sessions too,as if,'if' there was really a God, that he/she would even be the slightest bit bothered as to who did well in a Big Brother series.
Surely there are more pressing things to pray for than her self preservation in the series.

Having got that off my chest,I thought Becky's Sister was plain daft and ridiculous in her comments.

Munchkins 01-08-2012 10:44 AM

Becky's sister is as big of an idiot as Becky herself is
runs in the family, both seem pathetic

Maxy 01-08-2012 11:02 AM

Beckys sister showed herself up, just as Becky has been doing from the start, she's giving the people of Lancashire a bad name.

I used to call my son 'mammy's little soldier' (until he was about 24 anyway haaaa) - does that mean I'm disrespecting the armed forces?? No of course it bloody doesnt, thats just another excuse by some people to try and make themselves feel bigger by trying to make others feel smaller and its a s hit trick. Caroline was pretty good at doing that. Once she got out it didnt work so well eh? Lauren gave her such a pasting last night! I wish I could say it was uncomfortable to watch but it wasnt, it was wonderful, heart-warming justice!

I don't approve of Caroline's behaviour but I do wish she had the balls to say to Lauren, " I didn't like you , get over it! " sometimes in life we don't like people and I know that myself I feel no obligation to reason or debate or explain to people i don't like. She feels the same clearly as she didn't offer an explanation but she dismissed the conversation far to weakly. She should have made eye contact and ended the questioning there.

Lauren should also accept not every one can like her and just not care so much.

Omega 01-08-2012 12:24 PM

Applying her sister's logic, you could say Conor's Hitler thing means he endorses the Holocaust.

And I though Becky was gormless.

You should feel an obligation. If someone is going to say bad things behind someone else's back then they should at least have the guts to also say it to their faces and/or justify it. She knows she cant justify it and that she was just a nasty, snidey little piece of work.

Yes, but Not liking someone means you don't care whether they understand the reasons why. Also telling someone the cold hard truth about why you dislike them can do more harm than good. The truth hurts after all. It's kinder to just let them go their way and you go yours. My disliking someone doesn't mean I want to crush them or see them unhappy, it generally just means my existence runs smoother without them in it.

I don't like for example people who tell tales because often its their repeating of gossip that causes the problems. Their betrayals of another persons trust. Like when Ashleigh caused that huge row with Becky and Luke a. All Ashleigh had to do was suggest to Luke a he discuss his feelings with becky or just disagree with him. She chose instead to upset her pal. In life we need to consider if our actions will benefit or harm others and if the outcome is harm, then it's best left alone.

glasstangerine 01-08-2012 02:13 PM

Deana's comments are tongue in cheek.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongue-in-cheek

Also my husband is in the military, I come from a military town where I helped support three of my coworkers through their husbands third tours in iraq/afganistan. I think that getting offended over every little thing that hints at the military that isn't solemn and reverent is a slap in the face of what the military stands for. They fight so that other people can live their lives freely. I know, I've asked.

Also I haven't asked anyone about Deana specifically but as a military wife I take her speeches about being strong "like soldiers" as a compliment. They are having a hard time and she is using soldiers as a good example for them to strive for. Who on earth could be mad at that? Only someone looking to sling mud for ulterior motives imho.

Marmalite 01-08-2012 02:17 PM

I very much doubt whether Caroline knows the time of day let alone why she actually dislikes someone. I also doubt whether she has many true friends outside in the real world.

As for Becky's sister.... what a pathetic excuse for a women. If that's the kind of role model Becky has had (as well as some of the violent threats her brother in law has left in this forum) then there is absolutely no hope for the girl.

Jamie585 01-08-2012 02:32 PM

Soldiers

i though it was really pathetic that friends and family nominated the outsiders because if the soldiers conversations.. i think it's hilarious and just a laugh really :P becky's sister was pathetic when saying about Afghanistan.. hope Deana doesn't stop leading her soldiers :joker::joker:

why is she and i liked her sister

Come on people.....let's get this in perspective a little.....If your friend/loved one/sibling was in the house and you were asked to do noms surely you would say anything you could to try and gain the public vote. Unfortunately, Becky's sister chose to say something somewhat ridiculous but it does seem to have struck a chord. People I have spoken to/ comments I have read have shown a split decision - some people are now turning against Deana for the comment and pledging support to Becky so in effect, her sister has done a good job with her noms by winning Becky back some of her fast waning support.

I am not saying I condone the soldier comment - I agree that Deana et al have used the expression as showing they are fighting for their places and therefore it was not used offensively at all but Becky's sister has played the game, opened a discussion topic and got people divided in their votes and possibly swung a few in Becky's favour (although with she is singlehandedly losing a lot with the BMI uproar)

Livia 01-08-2012 03:07 PM

As I said on another thread... as the widow of a British soldier I was not in the least offended by the 'soldiers' comments. In fact, it didn't occur to me that anyone would find it offensive until Rebecca's sister made something out of absolutely nothing. I've yet to see anyone on here with a military connection (apart from Chuff............) say they were at all insulted. It seems that ridiculousness (and possibly underactive thyroids) run in Rebecca's family.

mancmonster 01-08-2012 03:11 PM

being a devious manipulative false attention-seeking wannabee desperado runs in the family then....

Because if she is disgusted by something as silly as quoting a joke about being soldiers in a house where those joking about it have been bullied and ostracised, yet can say absolutely nothing about an HM like Conor who has threatened to do harm to one of the HM's, or Ashleigh who as said rude things about them and says nothing about the constant bitching, name-calling and back-stabbing behind the outsiders and floaters backs then she in my eyes is pathetic and a very bad role model.

If you're going to pull someone up for one silly little thing then you need to step back and look at the bigger picture and stop seeing the show through blinkers. She made herself look and sound like an idiot!

I would like to thank beckys sister for helping destroy her sisters chances further.
Good work.

The Hannon family have tarnished theirselves completely, Becky and her sister are complete fakes, her sister didn't mention how Conor and Luke S are basically mocking her and they hated Becky and vice versa just a few weeks ago. Total actresses.
