Deana's going to win, absolutely no doubt about it.

No he wasn't. Alex was then Jay nearer the end

rsefitpro2011 12-08-2012 10:27 AM

I hope Deana wins but I still get a feeling that Luke A or Adam may come out triumphant!

Jay was never the favourite to win.

Just one hour before the final; Alex had odds of 10/11, Aaron had odds of 6/4 and Jay had odds at 6/4.

She and Luke A are very tight though, it could definitely go either way.

I agree! I think the winner will be one of these two!

When it was down to two Jay was favourite, which was near the end lol

Why is it that last week when Deana was fav, all her fans were shouting from the rooftops. Then she went second fav and the bookies were tossers and clueless. Now she is fav again and all of a sudden the bookies are the all powerful Oracle again. I cant understand some of these people that change their views like others change their underpants.

Blink_Me 12-08-2012 11:49 AM

Does it really matter who the favourite is?

The bookies are rarely right when it comes to winning Big Brother.

Tregard 12-08-2012 11:55 AM

C'mon Adam!

Yes, because this actually happened.

I don't think I've ever given a toss about bookies odds.

I never take them into account. Shanaze was 100% getting us a gold medal in the BMX the other day and she came 6th... never pay attention tbh.

No, it doesn't really. I have always prefered my favourites not to be bookie favourites as it feels like it jinxes their chance of winning.

It doesn't matter who has been topping votes or not or been bottom of the pile. Look at Jay last year, almost a goner in some evictions, yet second in the final, because that is when the votes matter, and casual viewers might decide to vote, plus some wait to see if their favourites make the final before shelling out on votes in the final only, so that is why the final can be harder to predict the winner in some cases.

BigBrotherfan4ever 12-08-2012 01:07 PM

I'm hoping the bookies are wrong & any of other 4 win tbh

Jay was for 3 days post- Mark. I remember being shocked as I wanted Jay evicted. Then he was fav for a few days after Harry left. Sad that I rememer this sh*te.lol

Suz, I agree id prefer my favs not to be bookies fav. Plus alot of fans wait til final to see if their HM makes it. Sara i feel comes into this category. She could cause an upset as a ) noone knows how well she did when Caz went b ) she topped FB poll c ) she will get Scottish vote d ) she will get Insider / anti- Deana vote.

Yes Aaron wasn't favourite to win last year, but you have to bear in mind that last year was the first time "vote to save" had been brought in, so bookies we're still gettin to grips with that format. They couldnt get their heads around Aaron having such a large fanbase, yet getting boo's every week. I think this year, bookies have worked out that people like Aaron and Deana can go far, and win.
This is why Deana is favourite/joint favourite with the bookies this year.

Vote to save has always been used for the fiinals of BB though. Vote to evict was only used leading up to the final.

I know this.

I'm just saying, under a vote to evict policy, people like Aaron and Deana wouldn't have made the final.

Therefore liked, yet hated housemates, like those 2, make it to the final these days, and the bookies don't know how to handle it.

Everyone was so sure that she had all of this massive support that just didn't materialize when it was needed.

I really think Scott thought he had it in the bag this year (he had a massive gameplan!) but while a lot of people liked him they all thought that his hardcore supporters had his back in the voting and they just didn't exist in the end.

Scott was easy to live with so he was not nominated. Unfortunately that oes not translate to votes.
Closing down Facebook could influence the result. No cheap voting so it is going to cost people to vote.

Facebook voting had gone up this year to more or less the same price as a phonecall

Do bookies watch big brother? I thought the odds were based on the amount of money put on bets?

M X 13-08-2012 02:22 PM

YAY! Queen Deana needs to win!

It is mainly based on the amount of money people put on bets yeh. But they do keep an eye on the show too I'd imagine, they'd be mad not too with thousands of pounds at stake.
