Much more effort put into everything about it.

The house is AMAZING and the housemates seem like a much better chosen bunch.
Also the crowd put ours to shame in a big way! Plenty of good-spirited encouragement for the housemates with none of the instant hating and booing our horrid crowd loves so much.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all unfolds but it looks great thus far!

we have a different tv culture in australia
they have to deliver
they tried the c5 sh1t in2008 and wernt seen for four years

BBAus definitely looks far more expensive than BBUK, but so far it's also far more gimmicky, which is not a good thing when it comes to BB. BBAUS, like BBUS, has completely changed the game, and they will manipulate using whatever gimmicks and twists they can to make good viewing.

really there are no pure BB's left in the world.

I'd forgotten what big brother without montages and a likeable host was like. Well not forgotten just missed. I think the time away did this countries one good, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. Unlike ours which despite a good last series is being milked for all its worth until it finally dies for good.

The house was incredible with automatic doors everywhere and a BIG feel. The booming Big Brother voice was really good, far less human and friendly than ours has become.

The thing about Australians is that they are very well manered and polite people for the most part. Even if they hate somebody they dont outwardly show it much. Look up in Google Australian etiquette or politeness, its a whole cultural thing with them.

I like that about them but it feels fake sometimes because they control their outward emotions quite well and hide alot of true feelings.

Every country is different.

BBUSA is known for it's scripted, soap opera style and game playing.

BBAUS was known for being alot more friendlier and light hearted.

BBUK was always known for being taken alot more well, seriously and for having crowds who boo for no apparent reason.

Wrong about BBUS, not scripted soap opera style.. where did you get that from? BBUS is about the challenges, competitions, the money and alliances left and right.. cut throat. I've watched all season and never seen anything scripted :conf:

The producers to rig it from time to time, this season they've already rigged it once in the shape of a "Twist" designed to save a HM they think is great, but is really a ****ty arsehole.

lol @ BBUS being known as a soap opera

Not even close, not a soap opera at all.. Thats Patricks opinion who clearly has no idea what goes on in BBUS.. Far from a soap opera! Unless lying backstabbing, cheating, backdooring, vile competitiveness, and machiavelian alliances are considered a soap opera.

BBUS is the most cut throat out of all BBs, its all about the money and the game. They don't pretend at all, they know they want the money and are fighting for it.

It is scripted. Not word for word, but they have a good idea what they want to happen, and they pressure contestants in the diary room sessions until they give in to what production thinks will make the best story. You'll find plenty of lf discussions about it that last about 2 seconds before the feed switches to fish, and more than enough former hm's who've confirmed it after leaving.

If you watch the feeds long enough, you can even spot when it happens. BB interrupts a strategy session, calls a hg in, 30 minutes later they come out, and they've had a complete change of heart about whatever strat was being discussed. Or, they've miraculously come up with a brand new amazing strategy despite having the mental faculties of a fruit fly.

Amazingly, this new direction will mean someone who is perfectly suited for the next HOH competition is still in the game, despite being on the bare edge of eviction just hours before the live broadcast. The sad part is I wish I was exaggerating, but I'm not.

I totally agree, but the same can be said about the new LF-less BBAU. Plus BBAU highlight shows are only thirty minutes long, so they'll actually be showing even less than C5.

where did you get that from? at least this week all the shows are one hour, with the exception of next monday, which is 1 1/2 hrs.

Jords 14-08-2012 11:57 AM

The presenter looks a legend

yes for real, its a terrible song, and I hate the current dance music culture. If I wasn't already a massive BB fan, I would have been a bit put off by the adverts.

Sonia Kruger is **** too. Definitely no Gretel, but probably better than Kyle & Jackie O.

That's great may save it & watch it when our CBB finishes:hugesmile:

redbear 14-08-2012 01:41 PM

Sonia Kruger is awful, she has the personality of a wet paper bag. And the housemates are all terrible. All the girls look like they want to be in Zoo except for that one tall openly racist girl. It's changed channels to which has a lot to do with why it looks different. The channel it's on generally only plays repeats of Two and a Half Men and rugby league. It's no BBUK, that's for sure.

Really? Ive never sat thrugh the live feeds, I have no patience for it and it bores me to death. Why would they have live feed and then script the program knowing fans can tell? Who knows then.

andy191 14-08-2012 02:38 PM

I noticed they have a similar entrance to bbuk, with the big eye and everything.

Munchkins 14-08-2012 02:42 PM

I want to watch it all, but i probably won't
