CORRIE legend Julie Goodyear has public figures quaking after saying she will name and shame “sex pests’’ who badgered her.
The bisexual actress, who played Bet Lynch, has told housemates people “in positions of power” were queueing up to bed her in her heyday.
Julie, now 70, was one of TV’s hottest sex symbols when she played the brassy Rovers Return barmaid in the 1970s and 80s.
Now she has blabbed on the Channel 5 show that she has a pile of names of those who plagued her with requests for kinky sex.
She said: “There are people in positions of power who came on to me.
“The things they wanted to do with me were unbelievable. I’d also get letters and naively thought they were sweet. They’d have locks of hair in them.
“Then when I read the letters I’d realise the hair wasn’t from their heads.”
Now high-profile celebrities, politicians, judges and police chiefs fear Julie will pipe up and expose their indiscretions.
And it is not just men but also women who will be anxious as the actress is openly bisexual.
She is currently married to builder Scott Brand, 44, a fan she fell for after he kept a vigil outside her home.
However, she admitted in her auto-biography Just Julie that she has enjoyed lesbian flings in the past.
She said: “While I was growing up, I never had a crush or any feelings for a member of my own sex.
“If anybody had asked, I would have said I was 100% heterosexual.
“But after my second marriage ended I got chatted up by a woman in a club and we started going out.
“That three-year relationship became like the marriage I’d never had.
“I felt so tender for her and we cared so much for each other.”
She refuses, though, to be tagged straight or gay adding: “One thing I hate is labels.”
After her wild past, Julie maintains that these days her only luxury is smoking.
She gets through at least 40 fags a day and also chews Nicorette gum.
The star said: “Smoking is my only vice. When I was in hospital recovering from cervical cancer, the first thing I did when I came off morphine was have a cigarette!”
