Apart from her being a silly lassie, and him being .... well a complete moron as well as other things: it's the parents I feel for. They must be frantic with worry.

Our metalwork teacher used to rub your bum as he 'helped' you on a machine...But it was the 80's so nobody cared, and he was about 50 so nobody ran off with him :joker:

reminds me of an Art teacher at my school who got fired, for constantly dropping equipment, to look up girls skirts, and leaning over them and looking down there shirt!

Can't say I ever had any crush on any of mine either.

I wouldn't be surprised if many teachers did have a wee fancy for some of their pupils - as you say though: most don't tend to act on it.

Hell, who knows: they may live happily ever after and prove the majority wrong - but I think he (they) should have waited till she wasn't jail bait and acted a bit more maturely.

How long can he Run?

This snippet from the article is so sad - it sounds as though he's trying to let her know that it doesn't matter, long as she's okay, they still love her all the same: as well as trying to indicate if it's not been 'her own choice' to go - that they are doing 'what they can'.

the guy needs to man up: if it's a love/lust thing and nothing more sinister: he needs to get a grip and put her parents out of their misery. He's meant to be the adult: meant to be the responsible one.

I think it's really wrong and a betrayal of trust. People like him should not be teachers in the first place.

You can't stop them though as you can't just ask them are you a paedophile.

Ahhh....don't you be fooled by that JF ! Remember the old thing about boys pulling girls pigtails at school, pretending not to like them, when they were actually smitten: and the 'pulling pigtails and annoying the girl' was a ruse - it was a way of them getting the girls' attention ! :D

She is still young, and hasn't fully matured yet mentally. It is up to the teacher to actually be a decent human being and not purse anything like this.

Absolutely agree - though the only person who would be able to ascertain if this was something more sinisiter on his behalf, or if it's him suddenly letting his heart (or nether regions) rule his head - would be him.

But it's def wrong and serious betrayal of trust for the position he held. (it will be past tense now I'm sure).
