I have a lot of friends on the east coast, and they are all taking it with a grain of salt. they all think the hype is stupid.
Basically Obama is just trying to hype it up as much as possible so that if things do go wrong, he can say "well i warned you!", but it's really not that serious.

The government and the media are just trying to make sure they can't be blamed in another Katrina moment.

Are they evacuating or staying put?

The storm is still around 8/10 hours out and there is already major flooding and some damage though that seems like it's pretty serious.

All of my friends out there are staying put, and laughing at all the hype.

Oh well hopefully it is all hype then and no one gets hurt.

I'm going to keep watching/following it though, storms really interest me.

Apparently theres 'mandatory' evacuations going on in some places, but some are refusing to leave. I think in that case it should be up to them, however they shouldnt expect others to come and rescue them if things get rough.

Gamble with your own life by all means, but dont expect other people to put their lives on the line for you being stubborn :(

Whether fake or not that looks absolutely beautiful.

I know it wouldnt be beautiful for those threatened by it like, but nature can be an amazing thing

the Mayor of NY Bloomberg
had a chance to say anyone who stays
will be charged for a rescue,
But He did not
just saying it puts the people saving them in Danger.

I read online earlier that the ones on the coast choosing to stay are being asked to write their ss numbers on their arms in case the worst happens
