Benitez has signed an 18-month deal.

King Gizzard 21-11-2012 06:29 PM

I think he'll do well, surely sacked if they don't win everything though

Locke. 21-11-2012 06:30 PM

"I don't care what he's won in the past, I don't want him anywhere near our club and I will be utterly disgusted and sick if we appoint him, even on a temporary basis.

The thought of seeing his smug, fat face and listening to his inane ramblings sitting at a press conference in a Chelsea tracksuit is enough to make me start watching Rugby instead. "

Rafa doing us all a favour and emptying out Stamford Bridge

Brother Leon 21-11-2012 06:30 PM

Rafa had problems with Liverpool and the powers above etc. No way he and Roman are going to work well.

This is great.

Rafa only had problems with owners, when they promised him things that mysteriously didn't appear, and then sold his players without giving him the money to spend. And telling him what he had to spend, then as he was about to spend it, they withdrew it.

Don't make Rafa promises you have no intention of keeping, and he's golden.

Marc 21-11-2012 06:32 PM

oh okay

Marcus. 21-11-2012 06:33 PM

it an deal he there till the season over

I think it's more than that. The fact we beat them with Djimi Traore should work in Rafa's favour. The media tore Rafa to strips.

MTVN 21-11-2012 06:35 PM

Only till the end of the season, not 18 months?

Locke. 21-11-2012 06:36 PM

"Bad day. Up there with relegation in 88.

Sickened. "

King Gizzard 21-11-2012 06:36 PM

Telegraph say 18 months, doubt he'd take a short term deal. Roman would have no problems getting rid of him for Pep anyway.

MTVN 21-11-2012 06:37 PM

Well interim manager till the end of the season is what they've just said on the City-Madrid build up :idc:

Locke. 21-11-2012 06:37 PM

The official site says until the end of the season

Marcus. 21-11-2012 06:37 PM

chelsea fans on tiwter wow

Here is a statement from Chelsea:

"Chelsea Football Club can confirm Rafael Benitez has been appointed interim first-team manager until the end of the season.

The owner and the Board believe that in Benitez we have a manager with significant experience at the highest level of football, who can come in and immediately help deliver our objectives."

Looks like Rafa had a rethink about that statement after the Champions league final :pipe:

Think I'll sign up as RafaFan to that Chelsea forum

Epic Rafa moment.

The second he cracked and we won it.

Locke. 21-11-2012 06:46 PM

Remember that great day when Rafa was at the helm of a humiliating defeat for Utd at Old Trafford, 4-1 I think

That's a myth. We won 9 and drew 2 of those last 11 games. It wasn't this that cost us. Your lot posted a really good points total. That's it.

Rafa was actually pretty much spot on here. Whiskey nose still gets away with it to this day.

Yeah. I remember winning the league that season too.

Everything was ok in the end ;)
