Arista if you don't like Christmas then fair enough but you shouldn't try to force your opinions about it onto others.

And Christmas isn't for children only imo it's for everyone, It's that one time of the year when families and friends (some that don't get the opportunity to see each other throughout the year) get together to enjoy the day and have some fun creating memories that last a lifetime.

I am not Forcing this onto others (most will ignore this thread)
But I wanted some Fair Balance.

"There are many things from which I might have derived good, by which I have not profited, I dare say," said Scrooge's nephew. "Christmas among the rest. But I am sure I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come round as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable, pleasant time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of other people as if they really were fellow-passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys. And therefore, uncle, though it has never put a scrap of gold or silver in my pocket, I believe that it has done me good, and will do me good; and I say, God bless it!"

Abridged. Sorry Mr Dickens.

How about a 'Feck Arista Thread'?

Did you like Christmas as a child?

He probably met a stoned Santa on the street one morning who said "feck off lad, I'm about to puke".

Oh cheer up you miserable git
for many people its not about religion, not about the presents (whilst they are nice), its just a lovely time to be able to spend time with your nearest and dearest, and for even one day not have to worry about the stress of every day life

GypsyGoth 24-12-2012 10:59 PM

Even though you don't like christmas, merry xmas anyway arista

CharlieO 24-12-2012 11:02 PM

You do seem quite down arista, christmas can be quite a lonely time for some.
Just grin and bear it, it will all be over soon haha.
In fact asda are probably taking the christmas cards off the shelves right now to make way for easter eggs! :D
