To me, Ryan was an arsehole for doing that first basement task, they should have all refused to do it, would have been more interesting, and may have shown other housemates in a better light, but no, he had to be the "nice guy" not because it's a televised show, it was just because he was a "nice guy". None of the others in the basement were going to do it as a sign of solidarity, shame he ruined that.
