I usually glance at the keyboard briefly before I start typing because I move it around a lot and only type with both of my pointer fingers, it might sound strange but it's efficient.

I look maybe once or twice while I'm typing but I don't the majority of the time. On other people's laptops I have to look though. The keys are all weird and they have different spacing and I don't like it ew.

Weird thing is if someone told me to point at a certain letter without looking at the keyboard I probably couldn't do it or at least would only know the general area

of course i look. I'm not a robot. i also looked when i played piano. I've never been able to touch type, or sight read piano music. I'm also a better piano player than most sight readers and i type faster than most touch typers. So i make no apologies for it.

It's just the way my brain works. I need to see the frame of reference. There's nothing wrong with that. I glance down as often as I need to.
