My sis does too, she is ok at crimbo and then after the new year festivities are over she just slumps :(
Have some lovely brisk walks with your pooches and eat lots of veggies and nuts to boost your serotonin levels.
Check out courses at your local college, as said the library is a great place to see whats going on in your area, really hope you get something sorted mizzy.

I agree. I need to be healthier as well. I'm far too lazy and that's why i'm often tired and grumpy.

I think keeping busy is a great way not to get bored. Going for a walk, or to the cinema can do wonders. And eating healthier as well.

I use diet and exercise to keep depression away, and it's worked well over the last few years.

I tend not to get bored at all though, as I usually have more things to get done than time allows for in a day.

I hate this time of the year too. From January until about May it actually sucks. I've spent most of the money I have, it's miserable, there isn't much to do, Uni stress kills and I spent pretty much my whole days on on the internet or PS3. I just count down the days until it's summer tbh. But it can always be worse, I suppose. Keep that in mind :p

How about volunteering for elderly people?
They would be pleased to see you.

Get well soon, Mizzy, and you've gotten lots of great advice from your friends. Glad to hear you em'd a college on courses. Why not devote some time, alone, on your computer and tap out a few nice stories that make you happy?

Kizzy 15-02-2013 09:49 AM

Feeling a bit lonely when you walk in this miserable weather? I bet there are one or two others who do, it can get a bit boring and i'm guessing whippets need a lot of exercise haha.
Start a dogwalking club, I seem to meet the same people on walks, and its great to have a natter as the dogs play :)
Bet the virus is making you feel pretty rubbish, maybe take a multivitamin with iron to keep you topped up. Are you sleeping
ok? Fingers crossed for the course enquiry mizzy, write a couple of short stories and send them to mag? you never know you could earn a few quid?... :D

i have 7 whippets so i do a few walks 3 of them dont need much exercize as they are 12, 8 and 7 and they bark @ other dogs, 2 of them r neatrly 4 and one of those ones is a sod she barks @ people, pushbikes, kids, dogs, u name it she barks @ it so i try and go where nobody else is with those 2 lol then i have 2 aged 2 but even one of them is a bit hyper so a dog walking club is a bit of a no no im afraid.i cud b the virus making me worse, i either sleep a lot or i dont sleep @ all and i also have very weird dreams a lot of the time which i do write down. the vitamins is a good idea and also the writing to magazines is a brill idea i may even have a try of that one. many thanks everyone.

That's great! you could use this 6 weeks to start a little collection of work to take along?
Write a couple of poems, a synopsis for a longer story and maybe a couple of short ones?
That should keep you out of mischief :)

Mizzy,if you like writing, how about doing your own online blog, maybe about whippets, you could meet people that way too and it would probably help you feel less bored.
