Is there a reason to be rude? I was giving my opinion and it differs from yours but I was saying what I do in threads. I was not even saying you have to "move along", merely it is what I do.

You may feel you have the right to speak to the younger members of the forum about respect and so I feel I have the right to remind you that respect is a two way street.

they dont annoy me, im giving my opinion on them.

..the thing is Sheriff that you started a thread asking a question..maybe some people would think that it's the sort of question you could have asked privately to the mod team to verify what the rules were on threads or explain if something has offended you...but you made a thread instead and it's created posts and activity...if you had done it differently then we would probably all not have anything to post in this morning...so in a way it's a good thing, right..?...

....someone made a thread a few days ago about the number of members online yet no one was posting...that's not a good thing because the forum could die if that happens... so it seems better to have some activity and hopefully if different members start threads then there'll be 'something for everyone' as well...

im saying the same to you as you said to me!, but mine was short and to the point!, dont try and turn this into an issue of respect.

I find those threads pointless. They're harmeless, but they just don't interest me in the slightest. To each their own i guess!

i know what the rule's are thank's,
are you preaching to me or what?

Jesus. 20-02-2013 10:08 AM

Forums teach us how to play nicely together (most of the time), and if everyone liked the same things we'd end up with every thread with members laughing at the same members posts continually with excessive wavey and jokey smilies.

Like this:

It absolutely is an issue of respect though. I do not take kindly to being spoken down to or having assumptions made about hidden meanings in the posts I make. I am not a kid and if that was what I was trying to say I would say it. I was merely saying what I do when I see a thread that has no interest to me which I thought was the point of this thread?

MTVN 20-02-2013 10:08 AM

Our members give a lot more reliable answers than google though you see

you believe you have been spoken down to not me!
i said the same to you as you said to me pure and simple if you dont like that then that's not my problem.

Benjamin 20-02-2013 10:12 AM

I concur, this may not be Google, but people are allowed to make threads asking questions for help, (even if it isn't my cup of tea), I do it all the time.

..no, I'm not preaching at all or trying to remind you of the rules...you made a thread about this which has created activity on the forum this morning and if you hadn't then it possibly would have been very quiet, so that's a good thing isn't it..?...other people are doing the same though..maybe they could find things out on google but if they did then we would have much less to post in here...I think that no activity is the worst thing...I think it's a good thing you started the thread and am glad that other people do but I wish more people would as well....

you dont need to remind me of the rule's you would do better with the member's that keep getting banned for breaking them!

LemonJam 20-02-2013 10:18 AM

you're right this is a big brother forum, close it down til summer guys.

Niall 20-02-2013 10:19 AM

I haven't really seen an abundance of threads which are just questions, so I fail to see why this is such a big issue?

well if you where more creative with thread's than posting anything that jump's into your head the forum would not be dead,

Ammi isn't reminding you of the rules, she's talking about forum activity. I think you're probably closer with the people who are banned more frequently, so maybe you could help them out.

..yeah but they've been banned for breaking rules so 'issue' has already been taken with them..I'm not sure what you're trying to say ...this thread like many other threads could be seen as 'not necessary'..but if those threads didn't exist at all then there would be virtually no forum...
