If you have your own house do you ask people to remove their shoes before they enter?

I just remove my shoes whenever I get the chance once in the house, front or back door.

Don't ask others to remove their shoes, only to do so if they decide to tuck their feet up on the furniture. A house is to be lived in not a showhouse, and visitors and family shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable but welcome imo.

Omg, I can imagine that... oh jesus :laugh3:

But anyway, no I don't take my shoes off because they get cold...

You suffer from cold shoes? That sounds like a terrible ailment. Hope you're OK.

We keep the shoes at the back of the house so we take them off just not at the front door. We don't make other people do it though, unless they want to.

No and I've tried to get her spade but the vets won't touch her because she's on the heavy side.

Black Dagger 23-02-2013 02:34 PM

I only go in the back-way because I've lost my front door key, so I take em off in the dining room (it's just an empty room tbqfh)

Nah shoes dont get that dirty and its nice to keep your feet warm

joeysteele 24-02-2013 10:39 PM

At home, I take my shoes off at the front door or back door whichever I am entering from.
Where I am at University,I have to admit I just go into the house most of the time.

Here, or at home though I would never and my Parents too would never, expect anyone visiting to take their shoes off.
