It depends on the circumstances. We all read Anne Franks Diary in school. I think it would be amazing to find an old diary from my grandpa or even my parents. If it was a friend? then no, if it was a boyfriend? maybe.

I read my brother's diary when we were kids. and i found out later that he read mine too. We laugh about it now.

yes

Benjamin 04-03-2013 02:49 AM

No, it breaks the boundaries of privacy. I would go ape **** if somebody read my poetry books without my permission so I wouldn't dare do it to someone else.

Kate! 04-03-2013 02:51 AM

Nope. I would never read somebody else's private thoughts, be it in a diary, or go through their phone, it read their private messages online. Like on Facebook. Despicable.

What do you write that would be so horrible for other people to read though? Are you saying things in your diary that are drastically different from the things to say to people's faces? Or is it just the idea of it that bothers you?

Kizzy 04-03-2013 03:08 AM

I write some shocking things down, my god the things I say lol it's good to vent your spleen sometimes.

It's personal thoughts/ideas that are private unless you want to share them. Nobody shares everything with everyone.

Good old Anne Frank. I see no one minds reading hers, and she couldn't even be arsed to finish it.
