Justin Bieber's manager has hit out at the UK tabloid press in the wake of bad publicity for the 'Beauty and a Beat' singer.

Bieber's trip to the city got off to a bad start last week, when he was two hours late on-stage at the O2 Arena and later got into an altercation with a photographer.

The popstar also had to pause a separate O2 Arena concert for breathing problems, leading to him being taken to a local hospital after the show.

Bieber's troubles have continued with the cancellation of a concert in Portugal this week, with The Mirror suggesting that low ticket sales are to blame.

His manager Scooter Braun has now attempted to set the record straight, telling Gossip Cop that the UK media has unfairly targeted the singer for negative publicity.

"The British tabloids are full of s**t," Braun declared.

Braun went on to explain that scheduling problems in loading Bieber's stage equipment were actually to blame for the Portugal cancellation.

Bieber spoke out over the weekend to insist that he will return to the UK soon, despite the controversy surrounding his latest visit.

I did see one of Bieber's London concerts last week (his last) and it is clear that the pressure is getting to him, he does live in a bubble and does need help. Needless to say he did put on a great show on Friday and performed well. We just need to closely watch his movement over his Europe leg of his tour.

He's a jumped up twat, this time he spent in the UK will hopefully teach him to **** off into obscurity. and LOL at cancelling a show after weeks of bad press......I hear Rehab calling.... Exhaustion anyone???

It must be very difficult for him to cope with the levels of intense fame he's at. Everything he does or doesn't do is obsessed over by legions of fans around the world, he has millions and millions of followers on Twitter. It's fever pitch. He's only 19. The guy's probably hit a point where he's either going to spiral out of control like so many other child stars who have come before him, or he'll come out of this a better person and transcend it all. I'm not sure if he's going to be a Britney/Lindsay Lohan/Corey Haim or if he'll be a Michael Jackson (who could arguably lumped in the former category)/Justin Timberlake/Will Smith/Christina Aguilera, but I think it's reached that point for him.

I don't think it's fair to call him a brat. He went from having a very normal life to being THE child star in a very short space of time. He's still a teenager at the end of the day, a lot of people passing horrible comments about him on here are older than him. It's very easy to hate someone but I don't think Justin Bieber's done anything worthy of being hated, he's just a boy who wanted to make music.

"Na na na na na
Na na na na na
Na na na na na
Na na na na" - Eminem, Without Me

Repetition is a key tool used in many pop songs. Justin Bieber was a 15 year old making music for 15 year olds when that song came out, he's doubtless been directed through every aspect of his teenage years by managers, PR people and music industry people who are all using him to make money. It's not surprising that he's cracking, aged 19.

I understand what you are saying and what you say is quite true, however, if he doesn't like being in the limelight and he craves solace then why court contoversy? I am sure if I walked round Piccadilly Circus with a gas mask on people would take photos of me, never mind if I were famous or not. He seems to be the cause of the controversy in most cases, being someone who is high profile. He's playing into the hands of the press, and you can't really blame them for that to some extent. It's either all been done for publicity or there is something very wrong, and his mentors need to take care of that.

Clearly not a joke if you're taking pleasure in watching a 19 year old boy have a mental breakdown. I'm not being defensive, I'm just pointing out that he's being criticised for repetition in a song made for young teenagers and kids when repetition is a standard pop hook staple. Most pop songs rely on repetition.

@ MrLuvaLuva, I think the gas mask thing is just as much a warning bell as Britney Spears shaving her hair off. It's not attention seeking, it's a cry for help.

Iceman 11-03-2013 09:24 PM

:laugh2: whatever Zee, quite clearly you didnt get the sentiment behind the joke i was making....

Z 11-03-2013 09:32 PM

Personally, I think Justin Bieber has mental health issues and I don't think it's appropriate to make jokes, that's all.

Ninastar 11-03-2013 10:37 PM

I think he's headed for a break down too. Where's the story about him crying?

Mrluvaluva 11-03-2013 11:01 PM

Birthday tears was just a term I used for him describing his 19th birthday as his worst birthday ever.

Observe his A+ grammar in this 'letter to the press'

...oh, and the LiLo shade.

Everyone in my team has been telling me, "keep the press happy" but I'm tired of all the countless lies in the press right now. Saying I'm going to rehab and how my family is disappointed in me. My family is beyond proud, and nothing's been said by them, my grandparents wouldn't know how to reach to press even of they did want to so that was a lie and rehab cmon. if Anyone believes i need rehab thats their own stupidity lol I'm 19 with 5 number one albums, 19 and I've seen the whole world. 19 and I've accomplished more than I could've ever dreamed of, i'm 19 and it must be scary to some people to think that this is just the beginning. I know my talent level and i know i got my head on straight. i know who i am and i know who i'm not My messege is to to believe. My albums could be about anything but my messages have been to never say never and believe, not to believe in me, but to believe in yourself .. I honestly don't care if you don't believe in me because I believe in me, and look where that's gotten me so far.. I'm writing this with a smile on my face and love in my heart. Letting u know first hand how I feel rather than have these story linger. I'm a good person with a big heart. And don't think I deserve all of this negative press I've worked my ass off to get where I am and my hard work doesn't stop here. i'm growing up finding myself while having people watch me and criticise me everyday i think im doing pretty damn good. And to those comparing me to Lindsey Lohan look at her 2012 tax statements ;)
