Think that was Marc in the dispute over whether to have separate threads for the American Idol auditions and live shows

My worst injury was the freak accident of falling over and breaking my nose in the shower. Here are two pictures of me, one from the night before it happened where I'd been dressed up as Dracula and had taken most of the face paint off, and then one of me once I'd had my nose glued back together and it was all swollen up. I look like a completely different person! It scarred, it's not a massively obvious one but it's noticeable :(. Ah well, it adds character to my face I suppose... apparently people find scars attractive

Also that is the first time in the (almost) 8 years I've been a member of this forum that I've attached files to a post. Strange.

Greg, I honestly cannot be arsed changing my sig or avatar. Could you please change it to whatever you like. I'm going to sleep now so it'll be a nice surprise in the morning, Ta

Shoulder area. I responded by clonking him on the back of the head with a rock as he was running away.

I never broke a bone, probably the worst injury was when I was working in a bar in London years ago and I was opening a bottle of wine and the neck of the bottle snapped in my hand, I only needed a couple of stitches but I damaged nerves in the base of my thumb and I still have pins and needles down one half of my thumb to this day (it happened around 15 years ago) also if I hit a certain spot on the base of my thumb it sends shooting pain all up my thumb

AnnieK 22-03-2013 09:38 AM

My worst was a broken finger...I was in a club looking cool (debabtable) and dancing on a speaker....I made a less than graceful dismount and somehow snapped my finger bone completely in half...I had to bend it back to bring the bone in line.....luckily alcohol is a great anaesthetic and I didn't think much about it until I woke the next morning and my hand was so swollen and bruised. I had to have a wire inserted to hold it together and then its was put into a traction device....followed by physio.... I can now tell you if its going to rain as that finger really aches...so every cloud and all that.

I must add that this was only like 3 years ago - I really should have known better!

I've had my legs smashed up pretty badly, which I'm still recovering from. I've also broken my left wrist 3 times (single life really doesn't suit me), and my brother kicked a football through my finger when I was a kid, which bent it 90degrees in the opposite direction.

The finger thing happened in Italy, as we went over to meet my sisters future husbands family. I was rushed to the hospital, and had it put in a splint etc, and then when we drove back into his village, all the locals were out on the side of the street waving to welcome me back. I felt like a celebrity.

I broke my Femur bone when I was 4.

Was in hospital for a month, and had to put up with a right ******* for a nurse, I shot her with my toy gun everyday. She was a wench. :bored:

I once had a wooden stool fall onto my head when I was crawling under them in the kitchen as a child, so I got rushed to hospital and was given the all clear but I remember loads of blood. Also apparently some bitch of a babysitter dropped me down the stairs.

I've also nearly cut my finger off whilst trying to cut a frozen baguette in half. I don't have many other stories, I've never broken a bone and I couldn't imagine how painful it would be.

A hockey ball hit my finger and it swelled up and the nail turned black, so they needed to drill it to let the blood out and relieve the pressure

 at least it was fixed, but it sounds like something medieval doctors would do.
