But how many are bots?

Jesus. 28-03-2013 04:12 PM

Parts of the forum should be hidden from some members, never mind guests.

No as how are they suppose to know if they like the Forum or not if they have to sign up to view it?

It's a big brother forum, if someone's on here there's a 90% it's to look at big brother/another reality TV show info, not Patrick's media coursework, when members join they don't start posting in other area's of the forum straight away anyway

Well, all reality tv sections then (XF/BB/IAC etc), and when on the main page they can see the most active threads are in other parts of the forum.

People are nosy, they'll join just to see something even if it's boring

Think its a great idea

Me. I Am Salman 28-03-2013 05:24 PM

yeah because guest viewing causes a lot of drama :conf2: it would just mean less site traffic, some lurkers might like reading C&G

Yes let's stick to the rules shall we?...
Why would anyone want sections of the forum hidden, I thought this was a community?

Smithy 28-03-2013 09:42 PM

You're part of the community when you join kizzy not when you're a guest :joker::joker::xyxwave::xyxwave::joker::joker:

can the public access all parts of the forum on some of the other forums you post on

Kazanne 28-03-2013 10:05 PM

I think a forum should be quite open with the option for members to have their own chat rooms

Is that a TIBB related question?... we have rules here roy...
Guests can't see the long chat threads can they? what reason could there be for any further restrictions?

Chat and Games should be blocked to people who are not members, people share intimate details on here and you never know who may be watching. I do not want my future political career ruined because of something I said on here

That would just divide the forum and create cliques even more. A very silly idea Kazanne :nono:

Then you should start practicing engaging your brain before you type, to avoid future embarrassment?

Even more?..... oh lets not... :joker:

joeysteele 28-03-2013 10:18 PM

Well,it isn't my forum and it is down to who owns it as to what it should be like and for the selected mods to control what goes on.

However, it is a public forum, so open to the public to look in and join if they want to. People looking in are looked upon likely as potential members so they should be able to see all there is and get an idea of how it works before they join, that is how I would run something if I had one myself.

Thankfully though, I don't.
