I have almost no social life outside of the summer.

..Roy, that's pretty amazing......I'm full of admiration for you...I'm sure you will get to teach at university level and be an incredible mentor and inspiration to your students....

Well for part-time, fast food isn't the hardest thing to get into. Just depends whether you can take up a job like that

I've had a job since I was 15 :thumbs2:

Saph 27-03-2013 05:47 PM

I don't have a job yet, I've only really been looking the last couple of months. Most of my friends got jobs as soon as we finished school but for some reason I just didnt and now I feel like i'm a year behind everyone :s

plus i'm very picky, I only want to work for high street names http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...8/c3ed7b23.gif

bbfan1991 27-03-2013 05:48 PM

No:(, but I am trying very hard to find one and have my fingers crossed that I will get one at some point!

Tom4784 27-03-2013 05:51 PM

Not in the traditional sense, I do a lot of work with my dad's friends.

I'm like a mercenary except instead of killing people I sort out their paperwork and taxes and such.

No, I mean I've applied for so many jobs since last year but failed. I've got good qualifications for someone my age, did a bit of experience in the summer at my cousin's shop, have done loads of voluntary stuff with the council which I got involved in when I was in secondary school, but still, nothing.

My friend has a job at Waitrose and lied a lot in his application, rofl. Maybe that's what I'll do ;)

Oh I see, yeah its a tough climate but keep trying I guess, I was chatting to a young guy on the till at Sainburys the other day (gathering info in my quest to get son no.1 a p/t job) and he said he applied months and months ago online, didnt think it was going to happen and they called him up out of the blue. Maybe get your friends who are working to put a word in for you, sometimes its who you know not what you know unfortunately.

No. Don't need one.

I do occasionally work as a landscape gardener with my Grandad when I'm home.

I find this thread to be unbecoming of a gentleman, so I'll make my exit. *bows out gracefully*

Currently I am in College so I prefer to focus on my studies. I have applied for University for September and if I am unsuccessful I might start to look for a full time job.

AnnieK 27-03-2013 06:52 PM

I'd love to make a living walking dogs

The downside of it would be having to pick up a lot of dog **** though and I don't even like picking up after my dog in the garden. Which reminds me...Jake, where you at dawg?

It's not FUNNY to be CRUEL just so you know. And I'm still a Gentleman that has left, this is just a letter that I passed to the parking attendant to give to you after I left. hmph.

Jenn-CityIVLyfe 27-03-2013 11:02 PM

I'm in college right now studying Geography and English. I work a job on campus for several hours each week. Not earning a ton, but enough for a college student to get by on
