I watched the last three or four episodes yesterday, it was amazing. Bitches better hurry up with S3.

A few episodes into Season 1. Kate Mara http://cdn.thisisbigbrother.com/smilies/flutter.gif

So annoying, my favourite character dies in every bloody show I watch

Spoiler:

Peter

Season 3 out now

LukeB 27-02-2015 03:11 PM

Is it good?

Shaun 27-02-2015 04:34 PM

it is outstanding

Mokka 27-02-2015 05:47 PM

I binge watched seasons one and two when they came out

gonna try to pace myself with three... but I doubt that I will be able to :hehe:

Shaun 27-02-2015 06:45 PM

I binged on s1 but managed to make s2 last me about 3 months  I am terrible at catching up with dramas now, only thing I settle down to watch lately seems to be my comedies (Girls, Looking, B9-9, Broad City, Parks + Rec, Portlandia)

Mokka 27-02-2015 07:07 PM

I have not been successful at getting into Broad City or Portlandia

The rest though :clap1:

Mokka 04-04-2015 06:19 AM

So it's Easter weekend, and how am I celebrating... by watching the god Kevin Spacey in season three of this iconic show. I get to the end of episode 4 and:

Spoiler:

Frank meets with his bishop to get clarity. The Bishop basically tells him that the only rule God has is Love. Frank goes to pray, alone, and he gets right up in the face of a Jesus statue... and says "Love... that is what your selling?", then he spits in it :omg:. He goes to wipe off the spit... and the statue falls forward and smashes to pieces... just missing taking Frank out with it.
Frank picks up a piece of the statue and says "at least now I have God's ear: :laugh2:

I feel so sacrilegious right now. :hehe:

I finally got around to finishing Season 3 and I've got to say, I'm really disappointed. It felt like they've gone out their way to take everything that's good about the show and destroy it.

Spoiler:

Claire and Frank's relationship was the best aspect of this show and they spent the entirety of this season destroying that relationship (and in the process ruin Frank's character by turning him into a pantomine villain) and retreading old ground in lieu of a compelling plot.

The season as a whole was scattered and unfocused, there was too many half arsed storylines that were dropped suddenly with quick and unsatisfying conclusions. The whole plot with Petrov went nowhere as did the storyline about the writer. It all felt very amateurish, it's like they decided to hire Ryan Murphy to write this season's scripts.

I couldn't agree with you more.
They did what every great show does these days. They wrote two good seasons with their fingers crossed that it would be picked up for both of them... and when it came time to write the third, they **** the bed b/c they hadn't planned that far ahead in the story line... and it all falls apart from there.

Lets just say the season as a whole was underwhelming.

Yes in 4K HD

Shaun 16-04-2015 10:46 PM

yeah this has been a disappointing season tbh... it's no fun when the villain is president :nono:

Mokka 16-04-2015 10:49 PM

I am actually rooting against Frank in the next election... but I know that will never happen b/c there is no story if he falls off the ladder so to speak

Tom4784 16-04-2015 10:49 PM

Here for Claire bumping off Frank next series tbh.

Mokka 16-04-2015 10:50 PM

ooooo Clair for President :amazed:

Why is there no House of Cards Thread?

Well I cant find one

I watched ep one last night and it was every bit as good as I was lead to believe

Its a little off the wall and weird but gripping. Like a serious episode of Veep. I am doing ep 2 tonight. :cheer2:

Season 3 was so disappointing :(

Mystic Mock 23-07-2015 12:47 AM

Has anyone watched Sense8? That's a great Netflix show.

With House Of Cards, I don't know what it is but it's never really captivated me with it's concept, if I watched it I probably would love it, but I just have never been interested enough to actually check it out.

Hayden from AHS is in it though so it's made me tempted.

Crimson Dynamo 23-07-2015 01:34 PM

i am 7 eps in and its gripping. The main 2 characters have an open relationship and the female is intriguing and so off hand. He speaks to the camera and is very funny but also a total bastard. Its kind of like a twin peaks version of The West Wing!

i could not help but look

Finally started Season 3 but I'm on the verge of giving up. The Underwood's are so unlikable, it'd make for an interesting dynamic having both of the main characters like that if there were some supporting characters to root for, but there isn't. Peter Russo was a flawed human but was at least decent, same with Kate Mara's character... They should have kept at least one of them around. The hacker guy seems like he could be interesting but he features for about 30 seconds per episode. I'm 3 episodes in now, I'll give it another 2-3 to hopefully do something with one of the other characters.
