Every single day. With or without live feeds. Would definitely enjoy a 90 minute Sunday over a Saturday, great ideas there. http://i395.photobucket.com/albums/p...umbgoodjob.gif

the only way they could get away with less HL shows through the week is to compensate with live feed, which doesnt seem to be happening, so no

The trouble is the TV shows need to literally just be the highlights - not trying to pack everything that happened in the last 24 hours into the show. The main shows should drive the show forward and every minute of them should be worth watching. With a show 7 days a weeks often at least one of those shows can feel pretty pointless (usually Saturdays which builds up to the event we watched live 24 hours earlier), and overall if they have less shows to produce it means the producers can concentrate efforts on ensuring the remaining shows are as entertaining as possible.
As I said earlier for BBUK at the moment I don't think they would consider cutting more than the Saturday episode, and IMO offsetting that with a 90 minute Sunday show which picks up from after the eviction on Friday would work fine. The new all-in-one 90 minute eviction show on Friday would then include a segment of highlights from earlier in the day on Friday showing viewers how the house had been preparing for the eviction. |

Having only three episodes a week on Big Brother Canada works relatively well for me because there's the live feed to back it up, if anything the highlight shows just consolidate the stuff I've seen on the feeds and round everything up. Without those feeds I don't think there'd be enough stuff in the shows themselves to give the viewer a true representation of what's been going on. Three shows a week works well but I'd prefer four so there's more than half in a week.
I'm not sure about the UK show though, it's a different entity altogether and I would miss nightly shows so I'd rather they didn't. I never liked Saturday shows being skipped either in BB8 but that wasn't helped by them trying to squeeze 48 hours of footage into a standard 48 minute show. I do like the 90 minute Sunday show suggestion but again, I think I'd miss the Saturday episode...there'd certainly have to be an improvement to Saturday's BOTS to make sure the gap was filled sufficiently. |
Was thinking this last night - when I went to watch more BB Canada and realized I hate to wait for the next episode to come out.
As a Big Brother fan, I would love it to stay how it is - episode every night. However, in terms of what's best for the show, I think they should seriously go by this schedule: Highlight Show: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. Bit On The Side: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday. Live Eviction: Friday Live From The House [2 hours]: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Friday. That would ensure excellent ratings. The problem with the UK audience now is they're so use to shows like TOWIE and Geordie Shore etc only being on designated days - Big Brother doesn't have the same power to pull in millions of viewers EVERY NIGHT for 3 months anymore. It's a fact. If they would stop being in-denial and listen to their fans, get their finger out of their arses and ******ing reinstate the live streaming online or as a red button option on Channel 5, they could literally get away with having 3 Highlight Shows a week and no one would complain. Simple as that. |
3 nights a week with live feed and a BB news show on everynight would be perfect. They viewing figures for both the main hl show and the BBBOTS type show would be far higher if they did this. Also make it more competative. BBUS format with HOH and POV but with house nominations and a public vote still in place. Best of both.

Every day, why should it change?
We need it every day, it's hard enough keeping up with the goings on inside the house especially with no live feed. |
