i understand what "thetruth" is saying, but i also think this forum is very different to other popular websites. what you can say and get away with on twitter or facebook or youtube is not the same as what is acceptable on this forum. The mods are trying to maintain more of a community here so i understand why they have different standards to other popular websites.

It can be frustrating sometimes, but in the end, it's worth it, cause this is a really cool community.

I do, I made a really large thread similar to this ages ago! It can be hard and daunting sometimes but other times you can feel part of the forum. And conflicting to what people are saying but posting loads doesn't really change much.

Just get involved. You're bound to feel left out if you don't participate more.

Jords 16-04-2013 11:00 PM

I dont come online to feel like part of a clique, I like members on here and I feel liked back so happy day! ~

Marsh. 16-04-2013 11:08 PM

Not really.

I'm not part of any group of members that seem quite close and familiar with one another though but I don't want to be neither.

It's a fun (or was) forum full of weird and wacky characters.

Just join some forum games when they come around and pop into the chat threads every now and again

Forum games are great for getting to know people here :worship:

Marsh. 16-04-2013 11:13 PM

Just don't join anything called the Glass House. It's cursed.

Jake. 16-04-2013 11:14 PM

I used to feel the same, talk in the chat threads a bit and you'll get people to know you in no time

Most forum games require DAILY participation though. I wish there were some more casual games, like once a week forum games.

you want to have sex with him.

It's nowhere near cliquey here as it is on DS, that's one thing I'll say for it, which is odd, that place being a lot larger you wouldn't expect that sort of thing to happen, but there are hundreds of cliques there, (in fact, there's a whole site dedicated to slating and trolling those in them), the largest being the mothers meeting attendees in Chatter who hold regular off-board meet ups, derail threads with their in-jokes, and start each other lick arse birthday threads as if they're old friends. I wouldn't let it bother you, I've always found them to a bit sad, you have to pretty lacking in real friends if you feel the need to use an entertainment forum to discuss your personal life with strangers.

lostalex 16-04-2013 11:37 PM

digital sid, have you ever called into couch potatoes? (dr. detroit's show)

No. You do though, I've heard you phone in. Quite opinionated if I remember correctly.

Jarrod 16-04-2013 11:41 PM

I post loads of places and still do.

Benjamin 16-04-2013 11:41 PM

I still say that I'm a bit of an outsider. Although I talk to a lot of people, I rarely venture into the chat threads and especially now I'm not a mod, I don't really fit into a group on here.

okay, yur name just all of a sudden sounded really familiar and i was tryna remember if yu were on BBCP or not, maybe Doc just read out some of your comments.

And yea, i got in trouble a few times on that show. I miss Doc. Really hope he comes back for the next series. Hopefully Emma being the new host will persuade him, you know how much he loves her lol

Are you American or British?

Z 16-04-2013 11:48 PM

Sometimes I do, definitely. I think posting in Chat and Games is probably the best way to get to know people, or Music. I'll be your friend :)

Trust me, it's nowhere near as bad here, even episode discussion threads for the soaps over there turn into discussion about so-and-so's recent holiday or which of that clique should start the next thread, as if it is a reserved right for them. The only forums that aren't like it are the main TV forum and the BB forum, where everyone's too divided over which channel to fan boy over / housemate to claim the producers are biased towards to in-joke . There is a small clique in the BB section but they generally stick to the BB Antartica / Returning members say hello threads which I've no interest in posting in anyway as any mention of the show that that forum exists for in them is generally ignored as irrelevant.

British.

Jordan. 17-04-2013 06:21 AM

Sort of, but I'd rather have a few close friends on here who are also outcasts than go arse lick in the chat threads to be popular.

Black Dagger 17-04-2013 07:18 AM

No. But I can't help it if I'm popular. :pipe:
