Why didn't you put something like...Maybe she did come forward but was ignored. I'm just making a point here but if you want to start getting sarky and snipey then lets go for it.

Hardly sarky, you misread my meaning. the Bahamas comment was in response to your One Strike rule. I just wondered IF he was found guilty of raping a 15 year old (when he was in his 30s) what would you do with him?

I am mystified at the costs all this must be incurring and I also think for a great many who have had allegations made against them, either no charges will occur or they will be found not guilty, should they dispute them.
After the Rolf Harris allegations and that is all that they are at this stage anyway, nothing now surprises me as to these investigations anymore.

If people have genuinely been abused then it is right that they get some justice, how to prove anything took place with only the word of another against the accused after so long is something I fail to see great success for though.
Anyone who may though, have just jumped on the bandwagon, as to the Jimmy Saville alleged abuses, then if the celebrity is found not guilty then I really hope those making false allegations will get the book thrown at them.

I honestly don't know what to think myself as to this now, however as more come forward,I find my doubts are increasing rather then decreasing.
I now wait for Philip Schofield on This Morning grabbing this alleged incident as to William Roache after his going after him on Roache's recent comments.

I also agree, the time has come for this to be done more discreetly now too by the Police, only when actually charged should anyone be plastered over the papers and really I would prefer it to be when they were actually found guilty after trial too.

I would also like to see anyone, who has made maybe made serious false and unsubstantiated allegations, have their names and pictures all over the papers too as a warning to all others.

I agree.

I really hope it's not true. I've always liked Bill Roache. :(

bbfan1991 01-05-2013 12:32 PM

OMG, but I still believe in the innocent until proven guilty mantra so it is no point in people jumping to conclusions based on no evidence and declaring him guilty or not guilty if something went on...

It's not me who has a one strike rule its a number of people I was discussing this with in another thread. I think you were one of those people so its doubly confusing as to why you wrote that. One strike whether he is 30, 50 or 80 according to many people, but that is not my personal point of view.

Vanessa 01-05-2013 12:33 PM

Yes, i agree with that. He could be innocent, but this will still affect him.

Vanessa 01-05-2013 12:45 PM

Digital Spy is deleting all threads about Bill Roach, but people keep opening new ones! :joker:

The most annoying thing about this is that the #corrie tag on Twitter is going to be filled up with wannabe comedians posting the same jokes from sickipedia over and over, thinking that they're being original.
