Not as healthy though! ;) My fav is breading them in Panko crumbs(Google it), with a light egg wash to make it all stick, and some thyme, and whatever spices you like, and then a bit of olive(or whatever oil you prefer) in the pan. Heat each side 7 minutes, turning only once. That's for chops a half inch or 3/4s. Thinner chops take less time.

Also, I carve off the fat from around the edges a bit if I find the butcher has done a **** job, but definitely leave some or most on, otherwise you won't get the flavor intended. Gl, and PM if you want some of my recipes.

Just the way American say things like this makes it sound yummy, here we would say dip your pork chop in beaten egg, definately not as good as an egg wash.

Nah it doesnt turn out that fatty, I try to use chops that have hardly any fat on them though.

And you could have got that honey off your baking tray with cola.

This isn't another of your 1st century coconut fads is it? :suspect: How does cola work? Would I just soak it?

I'm a boy living on my own, do you really think I have a halogen oven lying around the place?

No it really works, google it

And just put a little on the tray and put it in the oven to heat for a bit.

Josy, I regularly do a ham joint in coca cola.. It's one of the easiest, tastiest things I make.

Jesus. 23-05-2013 09:46 AM

Does it wash the pan up while it's cooking? :suspect:

I've just checked and seems like this had basis in science, Josy. I quite want to burn something now, so I can try it.

Stop being a lazy swine!! Get a ham joint, a large bottle of coke and a peeled onion cut in half. Put it all in a pot for a couple of hours and Robert is your fathers brother. :)

I'm a bit bemused by this thread, apparently only ladies know what to do with a pork chop, and single men don't own halogen cookers. Each day is a revelation on here.

Lee. 23-05-2013 10:58 AM

I don't even know what a halogen cooker is
