most sterotypes though are stereotypes for a reason.

i only dislike people who enjoy living up to them. big brother is a good example of that.
with some of the people they get in there. i.e rylan is a walking stereotype people like that annoy me.

the truth 23-05-2013 10:56 PM

the endless stereotypes aimed at all hetrosexual men, were all supposedly aggressive , violent, abusive thugs who are sex obsessed 24 hours a day.....this type of discrimination is illegal against everyone except hetrosexual men

I don't know anyone who feels that way?
I have heard that said about footie fans, but not all men.

I have heard the obsessed with sex thing about men in general (not just heterosexual)

Not the rest though

Basically the same that Vicky and Kizzy have posted, never seen any of those stereotypes really apart from sex obsessed but again that was about all guys regardless of sexual preference

Mines to do with my dog and the stereotypes that follow her and other breeds around.

I have a rottweiler and people just assume she's a bloodthirsty hound who'd rip your arm off as soon as look at you.

Other types of dogs, mainly pitbulls and staff's get the same treatment too. Its not the dog that's the **** when it bites someone, its the owner and the piss poor way its been brought up.

Kizzy 23-05-2013 11:10 PM

My lab was attacked by a rottie I hate them!

I'm guilty of doing this, but I do agree it's the owners fault.

I still wouldn't trust a dog, as it takes 1 second for them to change but no, I do agree it's how they are brought up

Glenn. 23-05-2013 11:12 PM

Thanks for that reply Cailtin. I haven't got to answer kizzy now

Marc 23-05-2013 11:12 PM

Glenn. 23-05-2013 11:12 PM

The internet doesn't lie my ginger friend

Wealthy people in movies. They're always either British or American with a British accent. As if there aren't wealthy people in America.

It was nothing to do with the owner he is a neighbour and an experienced owner, my daft lab looked it in the eye as they passed... It was a dominance thing, really scary.

swinearefine 24-05-2013 12:48 AM

It's really not fair how people are always going on about how smart and industrious asian people are. I went to a boarding school that was like 25% kids from china, and they were without a doubt the laziest and dumbest race there.

You seem to tar all rottweilers with the same brush then? Seems to me your neighbour needs a few more lessons in how to look after a rottweiler.

Kizzy 24-05-2013 01:03 AM

He is actually, it was acting on instinct as I said.

Glenn. 24-05-2013 01:06 AM

You just demonstrated what I mean completely though. One Rottweiler bites your dog and the entire species are monsters. Proved my point for me. Cheers Kizzy

King Gizzard 24-05-2013 01:07 AM

Really? I think maybe you're confusing posh with British.

Like Christine Baranski can have quite a posh sounding voice which is still distinctly American, which seems to portray wealth and power.

Otherwise, I agree with you about wealthy people being stereotyped with posh accents.

Also, speaking of British in American movies, we're always the villains. :D :p

Glenn. 24-05-2013 01:11 AM

You haven't met mine Kizzy. You couldn't find anyone that knows mine and not say she's the softest dog you'll ever meet.

So it kinda does :)

Marsh. 24-05-2013 01:13 AM
