Sounds a bit parasitic and a bit incestuous ..... :suspect:

Hey! That statement is completely founded and true!

I'm not near the 6 figures yet, as I left good job working for a company to setup and work for myself. I should end up doing OK in a few years, but it'll just take time to get there.

My mom tried to set up her own consultant company. It all went pear shaped though, almost broke up my parents marriage too. She really put her heart and soul into that company, but it wasn't meant to be.

I do hope yours works out though.

Idle rich. I'd be good at it.

Cheers, I suppose pressure of family and financial pressures and commitment levels required from work aren't a great combination for a successful relationship.

I appreciate your kind sentiments though.

We'd be the best in the business.

Failing that (and I know I've said this before) I'd like to be physio for the English Rugby Union XV.

She went too hard too fast i think. She bought office space, and hired 2 employees. And so yea, the financial burden of having an actual office while her business was so small is what killed it I think. She was too ambitious too soon. I think if she had built it from home to begin with, instead of going the whole hog so quick, she might have had a chance.

She had absolutely no trouble getting back into the corporate world though, and in the end she was very successful.

LOL me too. And sadly, I don't think it's the right half for either of us.

To be an MP has been my dream for the last 7 years. It is not by any means a glamorous thing but to have to fight a campaign, with more votes than any other candidate no matter how many may be standing.
Then to hopefully win re-election in future election/s must be the most incredible feeling.

If I do succeed at that,I just hope that a more consensus politics comes into existence and that most MPs trusted with the votes and hopes of the people who voted for them, will be able to do a great deal more for them and the Country than they are able to influence/do now.

I still think being a 911 dispatcher would be an amazing job. You get to help people without actually having to help people.

They sound eerily close to the errors that I made to begin with. You forget that the safety net of a big company can protect you from your own mistakes at times.

As rich and idle as Mr Darcy and be able to say of a gorgeous woman who wants to bed/wed me :

“She is tolerable, but not handsome enough to tempt me, and I am in no humour at present to give consequence to young ladies who are slighted by other men.”

:hmph:

That's absolutely true. You have no idea how much goes into an actual business until you have your own business.
You know what though, i don't think she ever regretted it. I think she would have regretted it if she never tried. I was always her dream, and i think, even after it was over, she was always proud to have been a business owner, even though it was a failed business.

My brother and I always talk about getting matching tattoo's to commemorate my mom, and this conversation has made me realize what the perfect tattoo would be. It will be the logo of Vector.

It was the name of her short lived company. And she had a logo, professionally designed and everything, letter head.. like i said, she went the whole hog. Vector International Inc. It was her dream, i think it would be a fitting tattoo for us.

The best idea we had previous was to get a black eyed susan flower, cause my mom's name was Susan, and her favorite color was yellow. But neither of us really wanted a flower tattoo.

Oh right, I was googling "Vector logo" wondering what it was. That explains it and it would seem like a company like that, with highs and lows, would be a good way to commemorate her memory.

Ice skater :D

Love watching Torvill and Dean ice skate! King and Queen of the ice and are perfect legends. :worship: :worship: :cheer:  :cheer2: :amazed: :D

I look up to Torvill and Dean they are real role models who have worked hard all their life! :worship: :worship:

Love that I have ice skated at same ice rink as Torvill and Dean in the mid 90's, where they first ice skated and where they first came up with their famous Bolero and got a row of 06 for their perfect and amazing Bolero performance in 1984! :D

It was amazing when I seen their Bolero costume and three other costumes at the ice rink! :D

I am such a big fan of theirs and cannot wait to see them at the Dancing On Ice Tour next year! :worship::worship::cheer::banana::cheer2::amazed: :D
