Well, it sounds as if you've all enjoyed yourselves and had one heck of a good time!!

Looking forward to seeing pics .... desperately wanting to put faces to names!! :spin:

LEE 04-11-2002 08:57 PM

Of course we didn't ban you blinkinlovely, we wouldn't do that

As we've said a few times recently, there is an intermittent problem with the forum and several members occasionally get a very annoying message saying they are banned.

If you refresh a few times you should be OK.

We are working on it.

Bravo Busy Bee, stonking!! Well worth an hour in a siding at Brum I feel.

OK, I know who M & V are, but who are H & H???

:conf:

It was a night of nights. I thought I was the very model of decorum and refinement.

However, as I have already said privately to Lee, I have learnt two valuable lessons:

1. Never attempt to sing when sober

2. Never volunteer to sing alone

and possibly:

3. Never assume that being built like Alison Moyet means you can sing like her!

I was disappointed I didn't get a chance to dedicate my solo rendition and my duet with Peachy to the one and only Mr Clarke, but I'm sure you already guessed from the titles.

Sticks, you're on for the duet next year! I know you're a Meatloaf fan, so how about
'Dead Ringer'. I think I could do a passable Cher.......................

How can we possibly wait a whole year to repeat this experience??????:bawling:

BusyBee 04-11-2002 09:39 PM

ROB M and V were joined in their late night chat by a young lady and her sister - say no more.

I must admit I was inspired by the deep and meaningful conference we had about the merits of a certain young man who we are both rather fond of. I wonder if his ears were burning - bet he doesnt get compliments like that every day!!
:thumbs::thumbs:

You are right a year to wait is a long time -
how about a BB2 anniversary meeting - after all if its good enough for the housemates then its good enough for us.:hugesmile:

LEE 04-11-2002 09:48 PM

I'd worked out one of the H'swas Hannah, but her sister's name doesn't begin with an H so i got confused as well.

BusyBee 04-11-2002 09:58 PM

Sorree I'm still in recovery so the old mind is not ticking over too well.

Anyway got to have a few red herrings along the way to keep everyone on their toes.

That would be the lousy deal I got at the hands of Arriva Trains Northern, and the Hotel from Hell I stayed in.

Toilet roll ran out (Luckily I bought my own)
Breakfast was late
No Tea making equipment
Paper thin walls
When someone at breakfast asked for another cup of coffee, they were gven a rude no.
You had to interupt the happiness of the thread didnt you Sticks! Lol! I spose it IS your job so you can be forgiven!

But I have to say your hotel doesnt sound that bad!

When I went to Tenerife a few months ago our apartment had a bathroom door that didnt lock (shared between 5 of us!), a squeaky bed and cockroaches but I loved every minute of it!
Its not where you are, but who your with that counts and Im sure the company was great!

Sorry if that sounded a bit arse-licky! Lol!

It sounds like mucho fun was had.

Sorry I wasn't part of it - I'm actually quite green-eyed! :spin2:

Will have to try and make the next 'gathering' :spin2:

BusyBee 05-11-2002 09:29 PM

Steve you werent the only one having trouble with the tv. I spent ages trying to find the remote - then realised there wasnt one. The reception wasnt good when I finally worked out how it worked, but the free tea and coffee went down a treat! I quite agree that was a completely amazingly good breakfast at the hotel, set me up until I eventually got home.

I was really looking forward to having our breakfast - but we overslept and missed out!! Ah well, there is alwasy next year! :spin2:

LEE 05-11-2002 10:07 PM

I must admit Wildchild, that when I was sitting with the four of you and you were all arranging to meet for breakfast, I was highly dubious that any of you would get up in time.

Romantic Old Bird 09-11-2002 12:25 AM

Writing about how excellent Mr Richie was last week on FA,

AND me sitting here wishing it was this time last week has made me remember to mention in dispatches the very wonderful MR DISCOLADY before this thread disappears.

It was the third occasion I have had the privilege to hear his wonderful rendition of one of Lionels classics. An absolute blinder!!

I seem to vaguely remember that he was rewarded for his efforts by several big smackers and bear hugs from yours truly.

:blush:Sorry Discolady!! But he is a treasure and must be shared!

:hello::colour::hello:

peachy 09-11-2002 11:28 AM

Hear, hear, Mr Discolady definitely deserves a mention. He is an absolute star and if ever Discolady gets fed up ROB and I would form a queue to take him off her hands.:love:
