but US plus never stand upright because the cord is coming out the back, so they are on their side almost always. They do still hurt to step on on their side though.

Naturally but youre post suggested standing on it upright like in the pic :p

I always find it wierd using plugs like that when abroad, they feel really basic for some reason ha

My friend deliberately stands on the plug from her straighteners before she leaves the house. She knows then, if her foot is hurting she has unplugged them as she would always have a blind panic that she had left them plugged in and they would burn the house down. (she is a little crazy I think)

..yeah, a paper cut is horrible...you could be pouring with blood from an injury and it wouldn't hurt so much as that tiny little cut on your finger that no one gives you sympathy for because it looks like nothing..
