Emma at her worst > Brian at his best, this is definitely a step up even she's a train wreck

Hated Davina with a passion.

Davina was great up to BB6 after that Makosi interview her downfall began.

After that she could never hide her favouritism towards Housemates and her hatred i.e Rachel BB9 and Nadia on UBB (who was her favourite Housemates just cause she told the truth about JJJ). Plus her love for fake romances started to grind. Plus by BB9 you could see she gave up on watching the show. She should have left after BB8 for me.

Yes. BB IMO is a woman's show. In having a guy present doesn't fit right. Emma is going to trample all over Brian's small legacy as a presenter.

I don't want her to be a Davina clone, but it's inevitable people are gonna liken her to Davina. God help her if she wears black, everyone will be on her back.

I liked Davina but the last 3 series she did were terrible, her eviction interviews were really bad and by the time it went to Channel 5,I was glad to see the back of her.

I think sadly, Emma is actually going to more than likely disappoint rather than impress.
For BBs future though as I said earlier, I hope she can do enough, despite my many doubts.

She was bloody awful because she clearly didn't watch or care for the show simply she was getting paid a ton of money and seen as it was her only gig at the time. She hung in when she should have stepped away.

I just don't like the young 'un's on here saying she's going to save the show, she's not that great people. She needs to get away from any Davina tics and be her own woman, if not she's not going to be memorable.

I'm not saying Emma is going to be Big Brother's saving grace, but I think she's going to do a good job. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt, I want her to own the show, put her own stamp on things.

I think people will warm to her as a presenter, personally I don't think she'll be as stiff as Brian was, she'll be more natural as she's a more seasoned presenter.

That's only because of Davina. If Dermot presented from day one then it might be a completely different story. Brian just wasn't right for the job, I see why they made the decision to have him as the main presenter, but he didn't do it justice at all.

Doing a good Job isn't enough, she has to knock it out of the park. She has to for me to want to be the best presenter BB has ever had. What I've seen of her she's happy to be Davina's Clone and do the exact same thing's Davina did badly in her later years. I hope she proves me wrong but I'm just not convinced by her.

Brian seriously needed a co host (maybe Emma would have been perfect), it was way too much for him and to slag him off is a bit cruel by many people. He wasn't right for the job and should have been given BTOS instead and after a few years then given the main lead job. It was a idea that never paid off sadly but at least they tried.

On paper, Brian was a brilliant idea... the ultimate BB champion, the viewers seemingly loved him enough to vote him winner second time around, therefore having him as the host may entice some people over the channel 5... but he just wasn't right for the job. He just made me uncomfortable.

Regardless of what Emma does, she is going to be likened to Davina, I'm sure of it. Even if she puts her own stamp on things and knocks it out the park as you say, there's ALWAYS going to be the similarities.

Well i stand firm on this ! Until they get screech some voice coaching i am totally unconvinced she will make a good host. Even when she starts talking in a normal tone its not long before Whoops up it goes into shrill !!

If we could swap her voice she'd be fab - her voice drives me insane !!!

smeagol 08-06-2013 05:11 PM

all she has to do is present the show and interview the losers. both are things she is already exelllent at doing.
she will be fun and be more enjoyable to watch. but the quality of the show is down to how good the housemates are what the producers do and how its presented. its not down to emma the presenter,

brian was a nice guy but gave me the impression he couldn't care less. and was too camp and cringy at times
davina was lovely and fun but her silly face pulling expressions annoyed everybody and she wasn't good at interviewing people.
emma is better package unless she blows it lol

iRyan 08-06-2013 05:42 PM

Emma has many many years of presenting experience and Brian had none. That's the difference. Brian was stiff, awkward, and unnatural. Emma's presenting style is way more relaxed and natural.

She fantastic at interviewing as well, her interviews on BOTS were always 10x better than the main show ones because she actually dug deep and asked the questions viewers were dying to know and didn't make surface level superficial observations and questions like Brian did.

BJ2 09-06-2013 05:00 PM

I don't think she'll be up to the job. She often fluffs her lines and laughs far too much.

I don't think Brian did such a bad job. I'm guessing in a few weeks time people will be complaining about Emma's presenting skills. Hope I'm wrong.

ruiphillips 09-06-2013 07:24 PM

Anything is better than Brian's unnecessary campness and horrid presenting skills.

Patrick 09-06-2013 07:47 PM

Far better than Brian

Jemal 09-06-2013 07:57 PM

Shes a beauty.

ItsOnlyMeDylan 09-06-2013 08:00 PM

She'll be great! Just what the show needed, couldn't stand Brian personally.

Jemal 09-06-2013 08:05 PM

Dowling was so cringe. He forced everything.

Lex 09-06-2013 11:16 PM

It's no secret that i'm a 'Brian' fan and think that he was tailor made for the role...but also have made no secret of my indifference to the charms of the self centred little miss 'I-love-me' pretty girl Emma Willis, and predict that her girly-charm and false giggles will quickly fade for all of you that are presently enamoured of her, and she too will be replaced after a couple of years!

Big Brother needs...and deserves better than this limp effort of a re-vamp!!...fgs..Spend some money and get a star to do the job!

Cheers.
