Most people fabricate themselves to get in the house, it happens every-year.
total non-issue. |

I did actually always say that I loved his stories but that I would listen to them taking them all with a pinch of salt.
Being fair, he is still a good housemate. Not sure I would see it as lying, I think he does it to impress others actually thinking they will be so impressed by the tales and that they may like him more. Clearly though it isn't the real Dexter we are hearing about from himself in the house. |
Tbf in the case of Dexter and Gina their back stories have been a really big part in defining them as a housemate, so this is quite relevant
|
Of course Vanessa comes to the rescue to defend him, typical

Being a fake and a liar are traits that most people hate, ergo they dislike the perpetrators , but when it comes down to the entertainment value of what these people add to the show, love em or hate em, they do bring a certain amount of controversy that fuels the shows ethos and creates the kind of show most people like.

I KNEW IT I ****ING KNEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told you all a few weeks back - just posting on message boards doesn't make you a celebrity publicist and any moronic fourteen year old can use photoshop and Word and create a fake nightclub receipt. Cannot believe you were all fooled by him!!!! |
I'm not sure I can support Dexter now if what Holly said is true. It's disappointing. I know people fabricate stuff to get into the house on their VT's but they don't usually keep it going so strongly in the house itself when they get to know the other HM's and make friends. If you can't believe a word that someone says and don't know who they are, how can you tell if you like or dislike them? Like someone said, you might as well watch a soap opera.
No wonder Dexter isn't fitting in. How can you make friends when you are just one big walking lie? |
Didn't most people think he was full of ****?
The giveaway for me was when on his VT he claimed to have untold girlfriends and was at one point the highest earning gigolo in London. I mean, as if!! |
I don't give a **** about HMs before or after BB as long as they make good TV that's all that matters. I couldn't care less about what a HM's situation is like.

I don't give a crap what Gina or Dexter's past is or what they do outside the house, all i care is for them to do well inside the house.....

Big Brother has come a long way from being an experiment about real people..everyone in there is acting up to some degree..its all part of the game fingers
|
I understand what you're saying but the lines were blurred a long time ago when it was common knowledge that "storylines" were being created and the HMs were being referred to as "characters"(behind the scenes). Plots and narratives were being created from the careful and judicious editing of footage to make viewers feel certain ways about certain "characters".
Why do you think LF is such a contentious issue? It's all about control. |

well i wouldnt call it a soap..there's a prize fund at the end and the people who watch vote..i dont see eastenders or corrie doing that
|
They all lie to get on tbf
What about Callum "oh yeah when i lift my top up, 300 women will gather around, i can get any woman :joker:" yet hes crying in the DR shown on BOTS, because he feels he's just an average joe who can't pull a girl such as Charlie |
