G.I. Joe Retaliation - 7/10

Honestly not too bad - very enjoyable and a lot better than the first. Dwayne Johnson works his magic again but if you're only watching for Channing Tatum don't even bother

Silver Linings Playbook, Lawless before that. Watchin Robert De Niro at moment, his great.

Shaun 24-07-2013 09:28 PM

The World's End.

Was obviously brilliant.

Marc 24-07-2013 09:31 PM

I need to see it

Jake. 24-07-2013 09:31 PM

Monsters University. Not as good as the first but that'd be hard to top, it was still fantastic!

Ramsay 24-07-2013 09:32 PM

This is the End - 10/10

One of the funniest films ive ever seen

RichardG 24-07-2013 10:57 PM

The two Death Note live action movies. Really enjoyed them, though having to read subtitles over the Korean speech for two hours was a little annoying. :p The most recent trip to the cinema was for World War Z, though I can't say I enjoyed it.

Shaun 24-07-2013 11:12 PM

i've uh... got a hold of  good quality copies of Oblivion, Spring Breakers & The Place Beyond the Pines, so hopefully I should be somewhat caught up on 2013 cinema

Joelle. 25-07-2013 12:14 AM

Yeah just watched a 'good quality copy' of Oblivion... great film and visually spectacular I think

Also 'obtained' a copy of Only God Forgives and The Place Beyond The Pines...

Lee. 25-07-2013 12:20 AM

Jack the Giant Slayer - apart from having to watch the first half hour 3 times as the lightning kept knocking sky off, it was quite enjoyable :)

Shaun 25-07-2013 12:28 AM

is the Only God Forgives copy any good? :o I thought that was only just out

Joelle. 25-07-2013 12:32 AM

Yep its a WEB-DL copy but they're just the same as BRRIPs.

I thought it was odd how soon it was though

Shaun 25-07-2013 12:41 AM

oh wow, that's my weekend sorted then :D thanks

King Gizzard 25-07-2013 12:42 AM

Not meant to be that good is it?

Shaun 25-07-2013 12:43 AM

I've no idea, I'm honestly just getting it because it's the same people as Drive

King Gizzard 25-07-2013 12:45 AM

and the same kind of character, probably why critics took an instant like just because of all the similarities

Shaun 25-07-2013 01:02 AM

I'd probably say that explains the average reviews, maybe loads of people were expecting Drive II (not literally Drive II but yeah)

Joelle. 25-07-2013 01:08 AM

I don't know what they were expecting since Only God Forgives is a Thai boxing film. The Place Beyond The Pines sounds more similar to Drive (stuntman/criminal) and that got critical acclaim pretty much.

The World's End

A tad disappointing, still it was very well made, it could have been a really great creepy scifi movie, but it's a comedy 6/10

Monsters University
http://i.imgur.com/tHf97ZJ.jpg
It's a prequel, so we get to see a whole lot more of the world the monsters inhabit, wonderful animation and top class voice acting 7/10

The Frozen Ground

A pretty grim story set in a far flung place, Anchorage Alaska, now I've always wanted to live somewhere like that or in Canada, this type of movie really does turn me off that idea. It's based on actual events 7/10

I loved the editing. Set in Sweden and it felt like a Shakespearean tale 8/10

Grown ups 2
To be honest it was a lot better than i expected and i would say better than the first one. I wasnt expecting much after seeing the IMDB score but i found it really funny.

What To Expect When You're Expecting. 2/10. Absolute crap.

Ammi 25-07-2013 08:03 PM

..Cloud Atlas..very absorbing, I loved it 9/10...

Joelle. 27-07-2013 11:46 PM

Con Air 7.5/10

Typical 80s/90s action film, up there with Die Hard, The Rock and Face/Off. John Malkovich and Steve Buscemi though... :worship:

Ammi 28-07-2013 03:39 AM

..The Tree of Life..unusual but quite absorbing...8/10..

Tozzie 28-07-2013 02:00 PM

Pacific Rim

I really enjoyed the film
