G.I. Joe Retaliation - 7/10
Honestly not too bad - very enjoyable and a lot better than the first. Dwayne Johnson works his magic again but if you're only watching for Channing Tatum don't even bother  |
Silver Linings Playbook, Lawless before that. Watchin Robert De Niro at moment, his great.
The World's End.
Was obviously brilliant. |
I need to see it
Monsters University. Not as good as the first but that'd be hard to top, it was still fantastic!
This is the End - 10/10
One of the funniest films ive ever seen |
The two Death Note live action movies. Really enjoyed them, though having to read subtitles over the Korean speech for two hours was a little annoying. :p The most recent trip to the cinema was for World War Z, though I can't say I enjoyed it.
i've uh... got a hold of  good quality copies of Oblivion, Spring Breakers & The Place Beyond the Pines, so hopefully I should be somewhat caught up on 2013 cinema
Yeah just watched a 'good quality copy' of Oblivion... great film and visually spectacular I think
Also 'obtained' a copy of Only God Forgives and The Place Beyond The Pines... |
Jack the Giant Slayer - apart from having to watch the first half hour 3 times as the lightning kept knocking sky off, it was quite enjoyable :)
is the Only God Forgives copy any good? :o I thought that was only just out
Yep its a WEB-DL copy but they're just the same as BRRIPs.
I thought it was odd how soon it was though  |
oh wow, that's my weekend sorted then :D thanks
Not meant to be that good is it?
I've no idea, I'm honestly just getting it because it's the same people as Drive
and the same kind of character, probably why critics took an instant like just because of all the similarities
I'd probably say that explains the average reviews, maybe loads of people were expecting Drive II (not literally Drive II but yeah)
I don't know what they were expecting since Only God Forgives is a Thai boxing film. The Place Beyond The Pines sounds more similar to Drive (stuntman/criminal) and that got critical acclaim pretty much.

The World's End
http://i.imgur.com/eCniSgr.jpg A tad disappointing, still it was very well made, it could have been a really great creepy scifi movie, but it's a comedy 6/10 Monsters University http://i.imgur.com/tHf97ZJ.jpg It's a prequel, so we get to see a whole lot more of the world the monsters inhabit, wonderful animation and top class voice acting 7/10 The Frozen Ground http://i.imgur.com/h2di2Xl.jpg A pretty grim story set in a far flung place, Anchorage Alaska, now I've always wanted to live somewhere like that or in Canada, this type of movie really does turn me off that idea. It's based on actual events 7/10 Easy Money http://i.imgur.com/rUFoyc7.jpg I loved the editing. Set in Sweden and it felt like a Shakespearean tale 8/10 |
Grown ups 2
To be honest it was a lot better than i expected and i would say better than the first one. I wasnt expecting much after seeing the IMDB score but i found it really funny. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iQZczN2Lb-...new-poster.jpg |
What To Expect When You're Expecting. 2/10. Absolute crap.
..Cloud Atlas..very absorbing, I loved it 9/10...
Con Air 7.5/10
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ernational.jpg Typical 80s/90s action film, up there with Die Hard, The Rock and Face/Off. John Malkovich and Steve Buscemi though... :worship: |
..The Tree of Life..unusual but quite absorbing...8/10..
Pacific Rim
I really enjoyed the film |
