Wolfy seems to be the only one in there that the flys visit....Don't flies like poo......now I know why they visit her. Minger.

Because it is pretty obvious to anyone watching, that Dan and Dexter had planned all that as part of the task, hence them coming out laughing with each other after it.
What a question,oh wait,it is to get at Dan again.

I think you are way too defensive about Dan...

The point of this thread was clearly having a go at BBs ridiculous warning to Dexter, and saying if he was offensive then Dan must have been too. They are very inconsistent with their warnings..thats what this is about.

Well with full respect I don't think I am too defensive and also anyway I think someone needs to be on here.

On the other thread, which is as to Dexter's warning, I have already said I didn't agree with the warning he got for his part in this task,so no way would I be supporting Dan getting one here.

However, the major difference and I don't agree with the warning issued to Dexter as I have just said, the difference is though, Dan and Dexter will have agreed this plan as part of the task together whereas what Dexter said to Sophie was not agreed between him and Sophie.
Which does make a slight difference, however still no reason to give a warning to anyone in my view.

I cannot see where I am being over defensive as to Dan though, that's quite a thing to say actually, I happen to like the guy and have had a fair bit to deal with on here with no one saying anything to those against him, only those for him.

I agree. Dan gets picked apart for the slightest thing yet certain other HM's can do what they like and get applauded for it. Just one example is that Dan was vilified for confronting Callum about his nomination yet when Dexter confronted Callum about his personality and was unkind to him that was perfectly okay to many.
Dan gets a bad rap on here so it's no wonder his fans want to defend him. Other HM's fans are very vocal about their own fave and at the same time run Dan down every chance they get. It's the way of forums, I know, but someone shouldn't be told they are too defensive when it's pretty obvious WHY they might be.

CaudleHalbard 07-07-2013 01:04 AM

Oh well, it actually helps Dexter if people feel he's been treated unjustly! ;)

Videostar 07-07-2013 01:15 AM

Dan reliving the good old days down at the Yard...he made sure Dexter landed on something soft to make sure no bruises show.

Vicky. 07-07-2013 01:18 AM

I just dont see the need to see every thread as 'oh another attack on dan'

I like Dan myself, and think he does get a lot of OTT hate, but this thread wasnt even about him..I know it used him as an example, but the OP wasnt actually saying Dan should have got a warning..just that BB should be consistent.

armand.kay 07-07-2013 01:24 AM

Gurl pls.

Black Dagger 07-07-2013 01:30 AM

EJECT HIM!!

If Dexter and Dan had previously agreed to it then it doesn't deserve a warning. Dexter has warmed to Dan and so have i. But the warning over Sophie was ridiculous. Anything to help their chosen on to win. :bored:

I think the difference was that Sophie made a fuss about being offended because some of her family members lived in a caravan, but Dan and Dexter were seen laughing after the incident. Pretty much as soon as a housemate says that they've been offended, BB feels the need to say something.

cfromhx02 07-07-2013 08:15 AM

BB encourages bullying and turns a blind eye to bad language as it knows it increases audiences.

It's only when it's obvious bigotry towards others or when there is no excuse for someone hitting another so as BB can avoid punishing them that they take action, only, only because they have to be seen,so they are not liable legally later,to be seen to be doing something.

Dexter is a scu* bag and he chooses offensive things to say or act around others so brings it on himself giving BB the excuse,as there is an obviously viewable reason for anyone pushing him,to not do anything

So what? Dan was in noway involed with the act... it was only supposed to be callum and dexter and if big brother can warn dexter for saying the caravan comment then he can warn dan to for pushing a housemate as if its a task or not it doesn't matter according to big brothers own words.... :nono:

Right from now on no-one will make any negative comments about Dan. Tell us what to say OK. Happy now?

Ellen 07-07-2013 09:47 AM

Is there a clip of this?

muchadoaboutnothing 07-07-2013 10:12 AM

Many a true word is said in jest and indeed many a true action is done in jest - bet Dan has wanted to do that for ages - a frustrated ex-policeman.

But as I said with the 'racism' thing..its a very slippery slope if they are going to warn housemates for anything that another housemate says they find offensive. A bit of common sense when dishing out warnings wouldnt go amiss.

Also as I said in another thread I think..Sophie only found it offensive because it was Dexter that said it. I would bet my house that if the twins or Wolfy had said it she would find it hilarious

Everyone has the right to dislike a HM and give reasons for doing so. It's the unnecessary, pathetic, cruel and childish personal swipes and gibes that make me wonder exactly what is beneath the surface of some peoples dislike for Dan. I could understand it if Dan was a horrible person, but he isn't.

It says more about the people relishing in their little digs than it does about Dan, don't you think? You can learn a lot about people from what they say. I've certainly had my eyes opened.

CaudleHalbard 07-07-2013 10:57 AM

They don't seem to worry too much about quite overt racism on BB USA................

Do America have an ofcom type thing?

Yes, the Federal Communications Commission. Not sure whether they wield the same powers as Ofcom.

The BB producers over there seem unconcerned, though.

Hmm. I suppose if you say a program is 'reality tv' then there will be some pretty ugly realities that rear their heads..

Still dont think I would be too comfortable watching real racism though..especially when that person could go on to win. Its not like ours where the public can vote them out for being dicks :S
