"I've taken it on board "
I think that when he really doesn't like somebody he will say it.
For example in the buzzer task, "who do you like least in the house?", he was straight in there Buzzzz!. And straight up looking right in her face, he told Jemima exactly why he didn't like her over quite an awkward topic (her making Sam uncomfortable).
You could also see him him starting to get annoyed at Dan's relentless questioning of his nomination. He started saying, "what more can I do? It's done now" but I think he didn't lose his temper completely because he could see that Dan was just very upset at being up for eviction.
At the same time though, he said that he stood by his reasons and that he wouldn't go running to Dan to talk about it.
And he didn't. Dan is the one who cleared the air first with him.
I don't think he's a complete pushover. I think he is just very mature and is well able to take criticism which he views as constructive, whilst most people in the bb house never seem able to take criticism.
If he thinks someone makes a very harsh or an unfair criticism of him, I think he will be able to stand up for himself.
