I used to really like him.
Since he has had a regular slot on a Saturday night I am going right off him.
He has obviously been told or believes that it his job to just sit and slag anyone and everyone off, housemates, presenters or guests. It might raise a laugh at times, it would have more impact if he did it in between some positive or intelligent conversation.
