I don't think it's necessarily that the dexter fans are mad at Sam, just that they're upset over the editing. If you watched the live feed last night they certainly edited it in a way that wasn't consistent with the actual situations that occurred.

It is not so much the crude and rather trashy things he says it's the fact BB don't show them...god knows what he said in there that we never get to see.

If Dexter had said these comments there would be 20 threads about it by now. :joker:

Sam sleaziness is being edited out as it doesn't fit the nice sweet naive white boy (he's 23) from the Valleys schtick C5 want to peddle. They will not show him as a over sleeping sleazy misogynistic oaf so as not to harm the 1D Harry Styles fans who will vote en mass for cash cow Sam to win.

Exactly so. They want to present Sam as a flawless paragon and an inspiration to all disadvantaged young people.

Unfortunately he's an immature dirty-minded young prat!

Amy Jade 04-08-2013 10:20 PM

Sam is 23?

Why are people defending him saying this sort of thing then? I thought he was 18 or 19, my cousin is 18 and he says stuff like this. He needs to grow up a bit.

Marsh. 04-08-2013 10:20 PM

Edited out?

Hardly, the only time we used to hear him speak was when he said something like "you make my winky expand".

Which made it all the more bizarre to me when he nominated Jemima for going OTT with her innuendos. Bit hypocritical of him there.

And they would be going as far as to say Dexter should be thrown out for saying those things...at least we aren't going that far.

Just a bit of fairness with the editing would be nice, lets see the good AND BAD points of all the HM's.

Jake. 04-08-2013 10:23 PM

Who cares?

Come off it. Dexter talking about blindfolding a woman and another man then entering the room unknown to her was omitted as well. Vile.

Well, truth is dexters rodeoing and every other disgusting thing he bangs on about is completely ignored. Obviously something as disgusting as rodeoing is fine where as jack the lad comments are sleazy. :conf:

Livia 04-08-2013 10:47 PM

I've lost count of the times I've heard that said by lads. Isn't it strange how prudish people get when it isn't their favourite saying it.

MatthewS 04-08-2013 10:50 PM

I'd find that inappropriate regardless of who said it...

It would be one thing coming from a minor, someone 12 or so, that doesn't know better. But a grown adult saying that is just odd. He's on national television right now, not sitting with his friends at a pub.

"Show your gash for bangers and mash" and "any hole's a goal" - words that may not be the starting point for a lasting marriage, but also words used by many "lads" until they become more mature and respectful of future partners. Empty words all the same.
Hasn't Dexter openly stated that he pays for sex and has different women for different days of the week/occasions - "I have one for conversations, one to look good as I go out etc" Hasn't Dexter also run lapdancing bars and claimed to have slept with the dancers? And isn't Dexter a dick? Why have Dexter fans become heralds of morality over Sam's words, when Dexter's actions make Sam look like Mother Theresa (when alive, of course).

MatthewS 04-08-2013 10:52 PM

Dexter certainly has his own issues as well...

I don't think anyone is claiming he's perfect...

(this is a thread about what sam just said though, their were numerous threads about what Dexter said when those comments were initially made. It's not like comparing Sams comments to Dexters can somehow justify them or not anyways...)

Dexter is a congenital liar, and to repeat myself AGAIN I have NO favourites. NONE, Zilch, Nada. NO FAVOURITES!.

Kizzy 04-08-2013 10:56 PM

How shocking!!!!
What was dexter saying about rodeos?.... :idc:

When Dexter approaches a woman put in the house for a task and offers her cash for favors, then you might have a point. Sam is doing this on broadcast tv for the whole world to see, and with people who are doing everyday jobs, not trolling at a club or otherwise expressing they are open to it.

Being a "lad" would not excuse someone saying this to a random store clerk or nurse, so why is it ok for him to say it to passing beauticians and actresses while they're doing a specific job?

The only person Dexter propositioned in the house was someone who works in the escort industry.

CaudleHalbard 04-08-2013 11:04 PM

Dexter is all talk. He has conducted himself perfectly well in the house. He has made no sleazy suggestions, or behaved lewdly, to females in the house - be they housemates or BB employees.

Pity one can't say the same about Sam, isn't it?

Ridiculous! I'm fairly certain Sam did not expect a full frontal based on his comment but was attempting to be flirty and fun, though failing. Using your logic though, I prove this argument with the fact he had no bangers and mash to hand with which to seal such a deal and thus, could not have been serious in his proposal. Men and woomen say stupid stuff to each other in the hope of pulling all the time. Sam's words pale in comparison to those BB female contestants who were trying to pull the loincloths off the male naked butlers a few series ago. Anyone remember that?

Wasn't Dexter going on and on to Hazel, Gemima and anyone else that was female about their sexual prowess and experience which he assumed based on their age.

What selective memories we all have!

MatthewS 04-08-2013 11:11 PM

You get their their is a difference between saying an older woman might 'put you through your paces', and saying that 'any hole is a goal' and telling that same older woman that she makes your 'winky' expand......right?

CaudleHalbard 04-08-2013 11:16 PM

Dexter, so far as I can recall, has made no suggestions to the female housemates regarding possible sexual activity between himself and them - not so much even as a "you make my winkie expand"

Nor has he grabbed at, and made lewd comments to, BB female staff.

As I said: what a pity one can't say the same for Saintly Sam! ;)
