However, as this is a forum, your ideas will be challenged. But you already know that... right?

You missed the 'without being accused of smear campaigning and getting desperate' Of course threads can made.

I don't believe this thread is desperate, by and large it's pointing out the double standards. Sam gets an easier ride for some reason.

lol he told a man hes age "i will stick it in you"

mr innocent cant do no wrong. you dont say that sort of stuff to strangers.

Dexter doesn't need to make sleazy remarks. The fact that he's quite openly discussed paying for sex and using women as accessories... the fact that he calls himself "London's Biggest Sugar Daddy" (although he doesn't actually come from, or live in, London), the fact that he's a "dating coach" and thinks that he can pass on the skills to get women in to bed while his own approach to Hazel and Charlie would suggest he could do with a class himself... His whole persona is sleazy.

Sam probably shouldn't have said what he did. But he's naive, rather than a sleaze and for people to be acting all outraged at Sam makes me LMFAO.

KingOfTheMods 05-08-2013 12:52 PM

Harmless really. He's still a cock though.

Yes and didn't you get on your high horse about it.

Using Callum's twisted version to argue your case.

Why is Sam's comment less offensive to you?

No I didn't miss it.

Sam gets an easier ride because he's younger, more immature, less worldly and a lot more naive than Dexter. I'm sure you can see that's true.

What's desperate is you creating Sam threads, so dont be a hypocrite.
just trying to find a way to bring him down? #epicfail
Thing is dexter said that to callum... And ill tell you when because everyone is thinking about the wrong convo.
Dexter and callum were sitting on the kitchen counter, dan was cooking and hazel and Charlie were talking. This is the night hazel and Charlie had the chocolate fight and also Charlie and dexter went in the shower. Dexter kept going on and on and on and as callum said when dexter said he laughed it off.
Hence why dan stuck up for callum later that night even tho he doesn't like callum. Dan also told callum "i thought dexter came across as a right prick last night, the things he was saying was urgh"

I think we can take a lot of Dexter's stories about what he has done in his life with a pinch of salt....and even if true that happened outside the house, we shouldn't judge anyone for what they did before entering the house, we can only judge what we see them say or do inside the house.

You know full well the context in which Dexter said what he did to Callum, it was Callum who decided to take it in a sexual way...but that's a matter for him and his own issues.

He was warned for that, so where was Sam's warnings for far worse comment aimed at female guests that were there for a task.?

MTVN 05-08-2013 01:02 PM

He has made a habit of making some quite explicit comments to people he's literally just met, I don't think he has any real awareness of what's appropriate and what isn't

Not because of his disability then Livia?..and it's ok because he has this persona of 'innocent young lad...I didn't expect double standards from you...!..he's 24 years old...and if he's not been brought up to respect common decency then he should not have been in the house!
Whether you are a fan or not...Sam should not get any more leeway than Dexter or any of the other house-mates when it comes to public decency!! :nono:

Bit pointless telling me threads could be made about it then.

Sam's 24 isn't he? His humours immature but I don't think he's immature in general. He lived in America for a while, without friends and family too.

I don't think he's this naïve young lad from the valleys that you've described.

Black Dagger 05-08-2013 01:18 PM

If Dexter said this he'd be described as a dirty rat and sleazy and disgusting... but because 'harmless, deaf, genuine' Sam said it, it's quite alright and just harmless banter.

k
