It's not Endemol that make decisions like these. It's the exc producer of the show at this moment in time.

The original format of Big Brother was based around several strangers in a house, being watched constantly by a higher power - and the nation, for a prolonged period of time, with absolutely no contact with the outside world; at all.

BB9 was the last series that really took that seriously, I was going to say CBB6 but there was a task that involved Shameless stars waving to Tina Malone.

From 2009 onwards, the producers have gotten more and more cock sure of themselves and how much rules they can break.

If you look at the original rules for the show and count how many have been broken in the past few series, as a huge fan - it's actually ridiculous to see.

The sad part is, I think myself and alot of others are now becoming accustomed to Big Brother's constant bullsh*t.

We're the only country in the world not to have 24 Hour live streaming, and I'm pretty sure no other country enforces this much outside contact onto housemates - in a desperate ploy to stir drama and chaos in the house.

Oh, and in terms of them 'owning the show' - yeah they may, but Big Brother has always been a public show. It was the first reality show in history to actually directly involve the public in the goings on in the house. We have a say.
It's our money that is spent voting to evict people, it's our money Channel 5 are so desperate to take to fund their Celebrity Seasons, it's our time that is spent watching the show - I mean for goodness sake, 'You Decide.' sums it all up, doesn't it?

The producers should be thankful, that Big Brother UK especially - has a loyal fanbase, that yes whilst it may of decreased over the years, the remaining hardcore fans still voice their opinions and let them know what is and isn't working.

99% of other shows on television don't have that, at all - Big Brother's producers, if wise would be taking on our feedback instead of ignoring us CONSTANTLY, and actually put it into practice, then maybe they'd be able to pull in more than 3 Million viewers per night.

You are a little naive aren't you! Never mind, it's quite sweet really. ;)

Endemol own the show. The exec producer is a minion. Nothing he does will happen unless the company approves it. That's how things work in the big bad world out there. :)

MTVN 07-08-2013 11:27 PM

What a joke, she's been able to ask him "have I been right in the house, have I made the right decisions with people" and he's been allowed to answer :bored:

It's not even subtle anymore how much information they're giving and how much favouritism they're showing to Gina

Quoting the first line of my post there - and ignoring the rest, because you know I'm correct in everything I'm saying.

Don't even try and be condescending to me over a computer screen mate, it isn't working for you.

It is.

I think I have just about had enough of this series now,it just gets worse all these 'extra's' being given to 'some' of them.

erinp5 07-08-2013 11:31 PM

I also didn't agree when they were given information of how they're coming across(ranking) because of the online survey that was done two weeks ago.

Exactly.

Also why does it take a phone call for Gina to realize to stay away from someone she doesn't like ?

Starting to think Charlie is a nodding dog and thick as two short planks too.

And she is the one with the TOTALLY FAKE backstory!

SurfersCreed 07-08-2013 11:50 PM

Gina is VILE!!!!
And BB's bias is pathetic.
Every freaking task is be designed to give Gina power and punish Hazel:

"Gina, you have been chosen to make up fake fan mail. Oh, and you can exclude one HM."
"Gina, brilliant job! Here's your favourite meal as a reward!"
WTF?!

"Gina, you have been chosen to be Queen Bee! Other HM's must serve you."
"You also get to give electric shocks to HM's you feel deserve it!"
"Gina, amazing job! You get to talk to your bf on the outside and get a to exclude Hazrl from a special meal again!"

******* that!
Charlie or the Twins to go tomorrow... Then GET THE SLAG OUT!

mr rochester 08-08-2013 12:23 AM

With all the fine dining Gina purports to have had I am amazed that no-one has taught her how to hold a knife and fork correctly. Her table manners do not reflect her backstory...

Winkie Expand 08-08-2013 12:29 AM

^ I was appalled that she didn't use chopsticks with her sushi after the fan mail challenge.

I mean, it's just like *adjusts clip-on bangs* yuh knuh...

the_answers 08-08-2013 12:39 AM

Wise words Patrick.

Maybe some kind of "BB fans" union (hopefully from this forum) could be set up.

If people stop voting with their hard earned cash, people on high start to listen very quickly...

This series has been the worst ever for it.

Unbelievable.

Kris 08-08-2013 01:01 AM

Disgusting really. The balance of tasks between housemates is also disgusting. BB should be ashamed on both points. There will be no more of my hard earned cash.

That's something that irks me about this series.

Annoying.

Worst was their fcukin' friends and family coming in for the remote control task.

Ridiculous.

Kizzy 08-08-2013 01:20 AM

Well done the series is officially ruined :bored:

Issac 08-08-2013 02:00 AM

Girl had the letters task the other day, some other housemates are yet to do theirs, now shes queen b1tch and has privlege to talk to someone outside. Why bother voting?

Ace 08-08-2013 03:02 AM

I'll not be watching this rubbish next year. These people have made a mockery of this show. So a HM is given phone calls so they can be be coached on how behave. Truly disgusting.

Ramsay 08-08-2013 03:04 AM

it's not the show it used to be
it's becoming closer to TOWIE than the original big brother at this stage

Ammi 08-08-2013 03:32 AM

..what I find just as annoying about that vid is the way Charlie seems to accept that what Gina's boyfriend says is right about Hazel when he's obviously going to have a biased opinion, Gina and Hazel have never liked each other...so much for 'best friends' when she's so willing to think negatively of Hazel..:bored:..

barbel13 08-08-2013 04:01 AM

So Gina getting phone call from her boyfriend and she was given information to stay away from Hazel!!!!As Gina parents are quite wealthy then why not money is passing hand between family and producers to fix the show for Gina.Just a thought..

jyunga 08-08-2013 04:21 AM

There are two weeks left. It doesn't matter what he tells Gina. Gina is Gina. She's not suddenly going to get massive votes for doing anything he told her. Christ, the complaining about production on here always ruins the enjoying of talking about BB near the end of each season.

change the name from big brother to big fix.

jyunga 08-08-2013 04:45 AM

how the hell is it a fix? it's not like its the first week and Gina will suddenly change and everyone will go "oh wow this gina chick is amazing! i want her to win!"

nominations are done with, what her boyfriend said to her has zero influence on the other housemates and does little if anything to effect how the viewers will see Gina. If they didn't like her by now they aren't going to fall in love with her because of some advice her boyfriend gave her.

this is just pointless whining over the show
