I'm surprised so many of you would like to be fluent in Spanish when everybody knows it just sounds like a badly spoken Portuguese. :idc:

I love the sound of Russian too it's a past life thing... Haha!

King Gizzard 08-08-2013 02:15 PM

I suppose Spanish would be the most useful outside of our own language

German and Japanese also

One time I spent 5 hours downloading Rosetta Stone for Portuguese and when I opened it and cracked it, it turned out to be Brazilian Portuguese, I was upset!

Chuck 08-08-2013 02:56 PM

I can't even say that I don't like the ordinary Portuguese because I can't even understand it.

Chinese(my brother studied Cantonese and my grandad(whose from Hong Kong) speaks Mandarin) so both would be be good.

Also Italian because I want to travel around Italy and Portuguese because we go to Portugal a lot.

bansheewails 08-08-2013 07:38 PM

I can swear in Russian, does that count?

Would love to be able to speak French properly, I can understand what is said to me, but answering is a problem.

Maybe Italian and Romanian, want to visit Transylvania sometime and do the whole Bram Stoker thing! :D

Qué?

Tozzie 08-08-2013 08:20 PM

Spanish, I love the language. I lived in Spain for 2 years and learned a little but nowhere near fluent. Living inland it was imperative to learn the language. I could speak a little and did manage to get by but yet I could never understand what the Spanish were saying back to me because they speak so fast.
