My voice is horrible, I have this really thick Brummie accent and my voice is really deep.

So what I try and do now is to speak quietly when I'm doing a recording, the only time I have to be loud is when I'm speaking to my Nan on the phone but even then I struggle and it comes across really awkward.:joker:

sooty 13-08-2013 07:06 PM

But Mock, many people would love to have deep voice.:amazed:

Why do you record your voice? (nosey parker)

reece(: 13-08-2013 07:19 PM

Not really since it sounds a bit geordie.

_Seth 13-08-2013 11:40 PM

Nah; it's a bit deep and monotoned. I have a nice accent, though.

Kizzy 13-08-2013 11:56 PM

There's a soundcloud recording of my voice on here somewhere.... Might have a look for it.

Jords 14-08-2013 12:05 AM

I used to really dislike my voice but you cant change it so you might as well deal with it :joker:

I guess I would like it a little deeper if I could change it. But some people tell me they like more voice so meh...

I hate being in videos.

I hate Irish accents too, I sound so horrible, I have a kinda deep voice for a woman, some people say it's cute and other people say it's very deep, so Idk what to believe, I just dislike it so much.

Kizzy 14-08-2013 02:16 AM

How do you find threads from last year?

Suze 14-08-2013 10:04 AM

My voice is awful :bored: I suppose that's what you get though for hailing from Essex :( :bawling:

I love Irish accents.

I feel a bit awkward around family because I sound a lot posher than they do, but they shouldn't have sent me to a school where I'd befriend rich people :hmph:

DanaC 14-08-2013 01:07 PM

I don't much like my voice no :p

I always wanted a more feminine voice. To me, my voice sounds mannish.

Here's what I sound like (a poetry reading I did on youtube a few years ago):

apols for poor lighting and video quality.

Kizzy 14-08-2013 01:13 PM

Oh dana.... I am in floods of tears, you have a beautiful and emotive voice, your reading was wonderful thankyou.

My dad folded sweet wrappers too.

Livia 14-08-2013 01:24 PM

I'm okay with my voice. So long as I'm not singing... then it's kind of torturous.

Suze 14-08-2013 02:41 PM

You have a lovely speaking voice, Dana :) I find poetry such a good way to express feelings, whether happy or sad ones. Personal poetry can be a trigger to a playback video in the mind of some of the happy times.

:laugh2: Your singing cannot be anywhere near as bad as mine :D

Sadly, I inherited my father's singing voice, and he couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. I love a good sing though, don't you?

Yes :)

Z 14-08-2013 02:59 PM

I love singing but my mum ridicules me if she ever hears me singing in the house so I don't get to do it at home.

Livia 14-08-2013 03:01 PM

When I've got my car roof down, I make the mistake of still singing along to whatever's playing on the car stereo. I do get some funny looks... But hey, we're tone deaf and we're proud, right? Right.

Vicky. 14-08-2013 03:06 PM

No. I sound like a bloke.

Z 14-08-2013 03:07 PM

I think I'm quite good at singing which is the most hurtful part... she'll just come into my room and be like "why are you singing along?" It's quite humiliating

Awww... maybe she's trying to tell you that you suck at singing, Zee. You should record yourself singing something and post it on here... we'll tell you whether or not you have the X Factor.
