main reason for hate on forums like these is because shes not you're typical sassy, controversial and out spoken act.

Yes - Janet Devlin who came to the auditions doing her best Luna Lovegood impression and then turned out to be nothing like that, and was in fact a little bit arsey / arrogant and not shy / down to earth / humble at all.

Abi gives off the same vibe. The whole thing is a contrived marketing ploy.

Because we've already had Janet Devlin on and she flopped big time when she couldn't sing any other styles other than her own. Abi has proven this too. Every single song she's sung has been a slow one or a well known hit that she made 'quirky' (a.k.a slower and duller, and more high pitched and squeaky)

so you think if she came out during judges houses singing a bit of R&B she'd be where she is now? every act has a style and they've stuck to it, she's no different.

I hate how Abi is the only 'one trick pony'.. like the overs are 3 ****ing belters and don't get hate, and you support Hannah who is just bland and does the same old ****e.

janet forgot the words twice and still came 5th which is pretty good. you haven't even given abi a chance to prove herself yet in the live shows :rolleyes:.

But every year people back so many acts based on looks and how many of them (especially the winners) have actually gone on to do much? It would be nice to have a winner again that actually has an impact and lasts longer than a year. I think Abi has that potential. Quirky is good as it stands out from the rest and Abi is a nice kind of quirky.
Also all the women winners do well like Leona and Alexandra. Abi is a bit different because her voice isn't strong but she has a unique tone. She can last for years I think. Maybe not be "number 1" all the time but I think the loyalty of her fans will keep her going.
