Why not?

You don't expect it to be anything but cold/frosty/snowy etc in the winter here.

cold/frosty/snowy would be fine but fierce blizzards horror freeze :bawling::bawling::bawling::bawling:

we never seen it this bad before

Marc 12-10-2013 05:38 PM

the number of days I'm going to get off

Drew. 12-10-2013 05:39 PM

excellent, theres nothing worse than a cold winter with rain.. would much prefer snow.

Jack_ 12-10-2013 05:45 PM

Hope this comes true but long range forecasts like this aren't the most reliable

A three month never ending snowfall reign from November to January would be amazing :D :D the country descending into chaos once again <3333

Yes we have, 2010 and plenty of other winters before that, didn't you actually read the article you posted?

MTVN 12-10-2013 05:57 PM

Snow at any time in this country is just wrong but when it's in November it's just ridiculous

They say this every year. As long as it keeps snowing its fine, its when it starts melting and turning to ice it pisses me off

Verbal 12-10-2013 06:06 PM

Don't worry about the cold and the rising energy prices though, pensioners. People have Royal Mail shares!

Stop being facetious.

Cherie 12-10-2013 06:11 PM

Whenever they predict stuff like this it rarely happens. They predict it as a matter of course now so they can't be blamed for not issuing warnings.

Yep. They do it all the time.

They also throw in the standard panic phrases..

"worst winter in decades"

"horror freeze"

"recordbreaking snowfall"

"widespread chaos"

"paralysing winter"

Lets be honest, all it takes is a short snow flurry to bring the UK to a stand still

It is quite shameful to see how that happens, we get about an inch and a half of snow and the news reports are acting like they're reporting the apocalypse.

My parents have photos of me in a snow storm when i was about 4 and it was about 7 inches deep. The Government would probably shut down these days if that happened.

Saph 12-10-2013 06:42 PM

yaaay I love the snow, it means I cant get to college :amazed: (I can get into town to do some shopping though http://www.breatheheavy.com/exhale/p...ueenflopga.gif)

Kizzy 12-10-2013 06:43 PM

Everyone could afford to heat their home then though, anyway best not bang on or I'll be accused of being old or boring or sworn at...

MTVN 12-10-2013 06:46 PM

Would you bloody pipe down for one second kizzy http://goemaw.com/forum/Smileys/goEM...g_fist.png.gif

smudgie 12-10-2013 06:47 PM

I love the snow...but then I can hibernate if need be.
Not good ffor people struggling to work or keeping their homes warm.

Verbal 12-10-2013 06:51 PM

The company I work for have a severe weather policy that if you live within one mile of the office you have to get there even if you have to walk, or you don't get paid. Guess i'm going to be skint in November if this happens.
