PS1, they were both excellent consoles but I have fonder memories of the PS1.
The hours I spent on the FFs, Tekken 1-3, Rival Schools, Soul Blade etc. |
Also, there are games on the PC like Planetside 2 that are totally free to play and still look better than any console game out there, that you would probably pay upwards of £50 for on the consoles :joker:

The Xbox One clocks in at 500 euro. The PS4 400. Most of those units will shift and find their way into homes when it will retail for 300 and will sit untouched earning back your money for the better part of a decade. Get me a PC and 7-8 years of the necessary upgrades necessary to run the swathes of apparent PC titles consoles cannot run for the same price and I will show you dozens more yearly five star titles for consoles that all but negate the argument anyway. Metal Gear? The console. Virginia Tech? The PC. |

And you and all the other tech spec jihads can go modding turbans on to your characters when GTA gets ported in six months time. Stick that in your DOS box.
Yeahhhhhh. |
PC Gaming is far too expensive for me, I like League of Legends and the odd Indie Game but that's it.

Wasn't really a massive fan of the N64, Crash and Spyro always appealed to me more then Mario and although i loved the two Zelda games i really didn't find the same replay value in them as the Final Fantasy games, most PS games were obviously a lot more darker then your the N64 catalogue - Dino Crisis, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Metal Gear and Tomb Raider, the Sports games were on a different level you had Gran Turismo, Pes, Tony Hawks, The Smackdown Games, the start of Fifa's popularity. but as the famous saying goes FFVII sold the Playstation and the reason why the playstation sold well over double then what the N64 sold

Simulation Games, Football Manager, Escape From Monkey Island, Broken Sword, Age of Empires and The Total War Games
the only games i'd rather play on a PC then a Console. I played Warcraft for a bit but got up to level 27 or 28 and then i lost interest i went back on there a few months after though and challenged some level 15 to a duel with all his clan watching on forming a circle around us and he killed me with one attack, i haven't been on since. |

I used http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/gaming-pcs-computers.asp to put mine together. As of this moment I can play any game you care to mention on high-max settings and that will be the same for at least the next 5 years. After that without touching anything I will be able to play new games at still an acceptable level. Console gaming is so much more expensive, its just the easy way of doing it as it involves no research whatsoever, you just buy the shiny box and away you go. Thats what the companies rely on. Laziness. |

I used to be into games when I had an Amiga computer...
I always found PC gaming to be a bit of a hassle compared to that. I guess the same is true with PC vs consoles now. |
