Being apart of the police force is a huge responsibility and mistakes can result in the deaths of innocent people. If they can't handle that then they simply should have handed in their badges before they shot and killed a child. Police Officers must be held to a high standard and if they can't live up to that then they should find another line of work. Yes they are only human but I'm not going to feel sorry for them when they went all guns blazing and murdered an innocent child instead of doing their damn jobs properly. |
Thats why you listen when a cop tells you something, no matter if it a toy or not
can't blame the cops because the kid was an idiot |
The rifle wasn't a toy, it was described as "a replica" which is something quite different. You'd have to be pretty close to be sure, and who would want to be that close? And after being told several times to put the rifle down, the boy didn't comply and allegedly raised it toward an officer. He was apparently also carrying a replica handgun in his belt. And all this the day after a 12 year old shot a teacher dead in Nevada, wounded a couple of other people then killed himself. It's a sad waste of life, but carrying a replica assault rifle in public is, to say the least, a questionable decision.
