and rightly so aswell, it's not appropriate behavior for a teacher, they're still under 18 and parents shouldn't have to worry about things like that from someone who's supposed to be responsible for them during school hours

What the actual....? Did you miss the part where it said he was her pupil in school? Any teacher who uses their class as a speed dating service should lose their job.

Yes losing her job is one thing but losing her livelihood is a bit severe... She made a mistake and should be punished but the punishment should reflect the crime.

I agree Nedusa - yes it's wrong to abuse a position of trust; but the boy was of legal age so beyond the obvious abuse of power, she's not actually done anything wrong. So yes, losing her job is fair enough, but surely putting her through some counselling or sensitivity training or whatever would suffice and then allow her to relocate elsewhere to start again? It's a shame that the papers have publicly outed her identity and shared pictures of the woman, that's nasty.

And she was head of the year at the time too, she deserves to be banned, should be for more than 2 years.

it happened once, and she resigned, clearly a woman not thinking straight.

Where have you been? It has always been a no-no for professionals ie doctors or teachers to have relations with those in their care esp. those barely of age.
