I very rarely get scared when home alone, I only get scared when I have a nightmare

Samm 08-12-2013 12:43 AM

I don't believe in Ghost and **** like that I feel quite safe in my own home

Ammi 08-12-2013 06:32 AM

...wow, that must have been scary for you, Reece.....

..I'm ok during waking hours but occasionally do still get a little nervous if I'm the only one sleeping here but not so much because of hooded figures or anything...more because I'm so isolated where I live...

sooty 08-12-2013 07:07 AM

Oh I am sorry to hear it Reece. I hope you are all right.

I used to feel scared in the midnight since I became alone, but now I have a burglar alarm, so I feel secure, at least no more that sort of feeling that some boy could be in the house somewhere.

My fat Charlie is not much of a guardsman I am afraid.:p

Ammi 08-12-2013 07:12 AM

...aww, fat Charlie, Sooty..he's there for the love and the cuddles...(well probably more for the food..)...but not so much for the guarding...

I live in the middle of nowhere in Downeast Maine so all I really have to worry about is a deranged moose breaking in. I was kinda nervous back when I was living in a hotel suite in Plymouth, MA because it was literally right in the middle of a gigantic shopping complex and it was on the first floor and my bed was right next to a window and there was a hobo outside being all homeless and such. ETA: Also there were a bunch of heroin addicts shooting up in there right before I got there and my cousin warned me that there might be dirty needles kicking around my sleeping quarters

AnnieK 08-12-2013 07:21 AM

I don't really feel scared here...I used to when I lived at my mum and dads as their house is old and creaks and groans a lot. Plus we were burgled like 5 times in 3 years which was a mood breaker....once in the night too. Thankfully they've had no trouble for years but it certainly made me nervous.....

sooty 08-12-2013 07:24 AM

Ha ha he is not, is he?

If I were you, I rather worry Charlie might be attacked by fox?
Have you seen fox where you live, Ammi?

I have seen a fox top of a my neighbour's (few doors down) flat garage roof where my Charlie often walks around.

..yeah, we often have foxes/deer and lots of wildlife, Sooty..but because it's not in the town/city. they don't so much come for food/scavenging..but are just more passing through on their way home...has Charlie ever seen a fox..?..

sooty 08-12-2013 07:38 AM

Deer?! Wao~
It is really seriously countryside, Ammi.

I think fox around here are looking for foods.

Even my Charlie is fat, (not cruelly, just chubby) I hope he can run away fast if he sees fox.

..yeah, it's very country, Sooty..the deer are beautiful when they just stroll into your garden and the strange and lovely thing as well is they seem to get used to you and are not afraid and rush off..it's like we spend ages just looking at each other and saying hi, lol....they're not so great though when you're driving to work and they run out of the forest in front of your car...just very dangerous for both of you, so you do also see many deer who are no longer breathing...and sometimes and this is really sad...they're injured quite badly and need the pain to stop, so you have to phone the local gamekeeper, who has a gun and knows what he must do for them...I know accidents can't always be avoided but I don't understand how people can just leave them there...anyway, life in the country isn't always so good...everything has up and down sides, hasn't it...

 did the police come, is your neighbour okay? are you okay, that is very frightening

lol

Kyle 08-12-2013 08:51 AM

I don't really worry at night time. To be honest I'm usually too busy going into people's gardens and staring through their window to think about it really.

Was it a woman on her period?

smudgie 08-12-2013 10:14 AM

Not overly scared.
If I hear the police helicopter hovering I can get a bit jittery.
I am new to sleeping in an empty house.

Scream 08-12-2013 10:25 AM

If I'm thirsty or hungry at like 1am I venture downstairs and go into the kitchen and there's a door and window with no blinds or anything which leads to our garden. I always try avoid looking in case a face just pops up and starts banging on the window :joker:

Natalie. 08-12-2013 10:28 AM

Yep since earlier this year, I was in my house on my own and it was 11;30pm and someone banged on my door(Nobody I know) and didn't stop banging and letterbox for like 15 minutes. It really scared me lol

Thanks  It was awful... but I think my Mum was more scared because she was in the sitting room right near the neighbour's window.

jackc1806 08-12-2013 12:58 PM

That's awful Annie, I can't imagine having to go through that! :(

Jessica. 08-12-2013 01:05 PM

 I am scared of mice and my cats always bring half dead ones into the house, it makes me want to run away for a month every time.

I'm never scared at all where I live now but before I moved the area I was in was wild, we had to have cctv and that up and one night I was home alone and heard a noise from the living room then the window alarm went off (the living room was at the back of the house were it was pitch black) anyway I went in thinking it was just the wind or something and without putting a light on pulled back the curtain and there were 2 guys trying to get in the window :(

That was pretty scary.

MTVN 08-12-2013 02:07 PM

Should have battered them Josy
