Pretty much. The theatrical cut is just short of 3 hours I think so it's not much shorter at all.

I'd try and show them something that would show them something completely different. Maybe even star wars (just make it the old ones - as a humanitarian gesture). The lion king is a great film, but I'd want to see something that completely blew my mind. Jurassic park?

...hmm, well when we have had African children visiting, they have always loved things like Disney, so that's a good call.. or movies based on books they may know...not complicated plots but just nice movies like Field of Dreams...I think ones which are sports related..baseball/American football/soccer/basketball etc would be good...Space Jam..?..or fantasies like The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe..?....
