How old are your little ones?

My Little ones are 14 and 16. Yeah I get where you are coming from I just think 11 to 16 is quite a big age range to cater for

Avatar would be good Vicky.

Kyle 12-12-2013 09:20 AM

I'd show them Zulu

smudgie 12-12-2013 09:31 AM

Top of the list would be The Lion King.

Perhaps you could find some other films that the kids could relate too.

Quite a few fims get made in Africa:hugesmile:

Shaun 12-12-2013 09:36 AM

I agree, The Lion King would be great for any age.

I agree with Avatar too though, it's very beautiful.

Marsh. 12-12-2013 10:54 AM

Avatar is just as long as LOTR though isn't it?

Pretty much. The theatrical cut is just short of 3 hours I think so it's not much shorter at all.

I'd try and show them something that would show them something completely different. Maybe even star wars (just make it the old ones - as a humanitarian gesture). The lion king is a great film, but I'd want to see something that completely blew my mind. Jurassic park?

Black Dagger 12-12-2013 11:17 AM

Yes. The Lion King would be

Erm, why not show a film with black leading stars? All your doing is transferring the "only whites sell films" clap trap to Africa.

Thanks guys! I'll get on Ebay tomorrow and buy a few of these.

Are the Lion King sequels any good as well as the original? I've never seen them

Gstar 12-12-2013 03:43 PM

Set it off
CrazySexyCool - The TLC Movie
Dancehall Queen

GypsyGoth 12-12-2013 03:49 PM

I would show them The Wizard of Oz.

The movie is one of the best ever made, packed with adventure, songs and magic. And most importantly, instead of using violence to solve her problems, the heroine relies on her friends, her bravery and her intellect.

Also there are lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Also merry xmas to you

Might be controversial but I have always preferred Lion King 2 over the original

You'll be able to find a download link for the Liverpool-AC MIlan 2005 Champions League final somewhere. You're welcome.

Have a rad Christmas holiday and enjoy Celebrity Big Brother

..oh, you're off again...:amazed:...I'm really happy for you..... I know how much you love it there and how much they love you, will you still come online and let us know how it's going..and maybe some gorgeous pics..?...

...hmm, well when we have had African children visiting, they have always loved things like Disney, so that's a good call.. or movies based on books they may know...not complicated plots but just nice movies like Field of Dreams...I think ones which are sports related..baseball/American football/soccer/basketball etc would be good...Space Jam..?..or fantasies like The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe..?....

Drew. 12-12-2013 05:10 PM

Toy Story/Shrek.. any animated films, they've be amazed and love them.

Ammi 12-12-2013 05:46 PM

..oh, Bend it like Bekham would be a good one, the children that I met were fascinated with David Bekham...I'm not sure what PG rating that is though..?..
